ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THRIVE PATCH

///

Thrive Patch is a weight loss device stuck onto the skin as a patch or plaster and works by releasing ingredients that aid weight loss. It works well for up to 8 weeks of a weight loss program.

Many people strive to lose weight which sometimes doesn’t work out for them. Dietary modifications, regular exercise, and dietary supplements have helped a big population achieve and maintain a healthy weight. Besides helping you lose weight, the Thrive Patch plaster is claimed to improve digestive health, support brain function, boost immune health, and promote healthy aging. The Thrive Patch plaster was created by a company called Le-Vel. But before you start using it, it will be best to know exactly what the Thrive Patch is, how it works, and the risks associated with it.

The Thrive Patch and its Mode of Action

Just like you would apply plaster, so is the Thrive Patch. It is applied directly onto the skin. The Thrive Patch uses Derma Fusion Technology. This transdermal drug delivery system allows drug molecules to leak slowly into the blood in a controlled manner. In other words, the patch releases its active ingredients onto your skin, which are then absorbed and delivered into the bloodstream. Its proponents say it is part of a lifestyle plan that works better if incorporated with other remedies. Bought at $300, the Thrive Patch is a three-step plan that you should use daily for eight weeks. It contains various vitamins and minerals, antioxidants, probiotics, plant extracts, amino acids, and enzymes. The Thrive Patch must be used alongside a shake mix and the Thrive capsules to improve your health, weight, and fitness effectively. When you wake up in the morning, you take the Thrive capsules; at lunch, you take the shake mix, and later in the afternoon, you change the Thrive Patch. Once applied, the Patch will have to remain intact on your skin for the next 24 hours.

Active Ingredients in the Thrive Patch

The Thrive Patch is applied onto the skin, which allows it to deliver its active ingredients onto your skin. These ingredients are said to aid weight loss. They include ForsLean, Garcinia cambogia, green coffee bean extract, cosmoperine, and coenzyme Q10. The LeVel also creates other weight loss patches like the Black Label Patch and Thrive Ultra Patch. The ingredients in these patches include 5-HTP, green tea extract, satiereal saffron extract, L-arginine, L-theanine, guarana, quercetin, vitamin B12, and yerba mate.

How the Ingredients Work To Aid Weight Loss

So far, there is no science to back the weight-loss claims of the Thrive Patch. However, some of its ingredients like ForsLean, Garcinia cambogia, and green coffee bean extract have been studied and aid weight loss.

ForsLean

ForsLean is a commercial name used to refer to the herb Coleus forskohlii. ForsLean impacts its effects on both men and women to aid weight loss. Studies suggest that it can result in a reduction in body fat in men by up to 4%. Similarly, it can be used to treat and manage overweight and obesity in men.

Green Coffee Bean Extract

Unroasted green coffee beans are used in this regard. They are an excellent source of a carbohydrate blocker called chlorogenic acid, which inhibits the absorption of carbs in the alimentary canal. Published studies suggest that drinking coffee enriched with chlorogenic acid may result in weight loss of about 5.4 kg. Keep in mind that coffee also contains the stimulant caffeine, which may maintain weight loss. However, study results are conflicting, with some not establishing significant weight-loss effects from chlorogenic acid.

Garcinia Cambogia

Garcinia cambogia is a weight loss supplement derived from a plant of the same name. Besides standing alone as a weight-loss supplement, Garcinia cambogia can also be combined with another ingredient, like the Thrive Patch’s case, to offer the same effect. It is said to work by reducing appetite and burning fats. Evidence suggests that supplementing with Garcinia cambogia can result in weight loss by only 0.88 kg.

Cosmoperine

Cosmoperine is an extract of black pepper and a commercial name for tetrahydropiperine. It can lead to weight loss by promoting fat burning.

Coenzyme Q10

CoQ10 occurs naturally in your body. It is included in the Thrive Patch as a supplement to increase fat metabolization.

Additionally, the proponents of the Thrive Patch claim that it increases energy and improves mental stability, digestive health, and manage appetite. Lactobacillus acidophilus is a good example of a probiotic, an active ingredient in the Thrive Patch. Probiotics may help improve your gut health and reduce fatigue. CoQ10 may also help improve exercise performance in physically active people by reducing muscle fatigue and promoting muscles recovery.

Side Effects of the Thrive Patch

The number one risk of using the Thrive Patch is unknown effects because there is no science to back it. Another risk is that it may be very easy to regain the lost weight once the program has ended. Restricting your diet for a short time causes hormonal and metabolic changes as well as increased cognitive functions. Once the diet has ended, it may be hard to keep up with these changes making you put on the lost weight. Thirdly, evidence suggests that using the Thrive Patch may increase your risk of anxiety and panic attacks. Such effects are attributed to the caffeine content in the Thrive Patch.

Contraindications of the Thrive Patch

While the use of this patch may accelerate weight loss, some people are advised not to use it. In fact, they should avoid it completely. These people include those under the age of 18 years, pregnant and breastfeeding women, those with comorbid or chronic conditions, and those taking any medication. Furthermore, it will be best to first consult with your doctor before starting on the Thrive Patch.

Take Away

The Thrive Patch is a lifestyle aid of weight loss that is applied directly onto the skin. Stuck on the skin for 24 hours, it uses the transdermal drug delivery system to deliver its ingredients slowly into your bloodstream through the skin. It is taken along Thrive capsules and shake mix.

During my studies, I discovered an in-depth interest in people as a whole and the belief in the inseparability of mind and body, and the importance of emotional health in physical health. In my spare time, I enjoy reading (a big fan of thrillers) and going on hikes.
