ALOE VERA GELS

ALOE VERA GELS FOR HAIR GROWTH

Why can aloe Vera gel be good for hair growth?

It contains beauty promoting features, such as, antioxidants that soothe, protect, and moisturize the scalp and hair.

What are the benefits of aloe Vera gel?

Can enhance hair growth

While there is little evidence about aloe vera’s effect in increasing hair growth, I have had clients that report faster hair growth after using the product following my recommendation. It does this by reducing breakages and hair loss.

Builds strong hair strands

Aloe vera contains high collagen amounts and cooling properties that reduce hair damage caused by sun exposure. It also has vitamin B12 that strengthens each hair strand, leading to limited hair loss and falling out. Additionally, it is loaded with vitamins A, C, & E for elevating cell growth and turnover in the scalp, and hair shininess, leaving you with beautiful voluminous appearance.

What should someone look for when picking out an aloe Vera gel?

Ingredients used

Always stick to product with close to natural ingredients and fragrance-free. The best ones have pure ingredients.

Your skin sensitivity

Aloe vera is good for every skin type. It is non-comedogenic and hydrating. It also has antioxidants that soothe allergic skin. But never use it together with cortisone products to prevent possible reactions.

Would there be any reason to avoid using aloe Vera gel in your hair or are there ingredients to avoid?

There is little cause of alarm if choosing aloe vera. However, some people have sensitive skin and may react to it. Therefore, I recommend a patch test for at least two hours to see how your skin reacts. If you are applying a hydrocortisone gel or cream, be careful because aloe vera is known for raising cortisone absorption in the skin. Avoid using them simultaneously on your skin.

Do you personally have any aloe Vera gel that you use or recommend to patients?

Definitely, yes. I usually use Biolage Hydrasource deep treatment and I cannot complain. It leave my hair moisturized and shiny immediately after treating it. Other earlier users have also praised it for working on different hair types with no biased results, whether brittle, curly, or colored. It serves all hair types with almost no loses.
