Beat These Nighttime Distractions for Better Sleep

Nighttime distractions can leave you short on quality shuteye. In my weight loss experience, this causes an imbalance in hunger hormones ghrelin and leptin. As a result, one can eat more than their usual amount, compromising the waistline. Since I don’t want this to be you, I’ve compiled two  nighttime distractions and how to beat them for a restorative night’s sleep.

Caffein

Pouring yourself a cup of coffee before bedtime can significantly affect your sleep quality. Coffee harbors caffeine, a compound that kills sleep, leaving you tossing and turning on the bed. For a good night’s sleep, I highly recommend plain water or herbal tea.

Cats

Our sleep time can be party time for these lovely pets. The sound of their claws on the wooden floor or sharing the bed with them can be disruptive. For this reason, I advise you to keep your cat busy with toys during the day, making them less active and sleepy at night.
