BENEFITS OF SLEEPING WITH HAIR IN A BUN?

What are some good reasons one might sleep with their hair in a bun?

  • It reduces hair messes caused by tossing and turning in bed.
  • A hair bun makes your calm sleep and night even more peaceful.
  • If you apply a curling gel, a loose hair bun can increase your hair volume and make it wavy- I love this styling trick.
  • It also prevents frizziness and tangling due to less rubbing against the pillowcase.

In addition to hair health, how might sleeping with your hair out of your face help keep your skin clean and healthy?

Many events happen in the body during sleep, including oil production in the skin. If you do not use a bun, your hair will potentially brush up in your face and pick some oil. It is a good way of reducing oil accumulation in your skin that might cause pimples.

Can you offer an other nighttime hair hacks?

Make it voluminous

If your hair flattens or reduces in size following a night’s sleep of turning and tossing, I recommend twisting it to build some bounce. You can start by washing it with volumizing conditioner and shampoo before the twists and a bun.

Make ‘pineapple’ curls

For naturally curly hair, the curls might get messed up when sleeping. But a pineapple trick can prevent it. Gather your hair above the head before wrapping a silk scarf at the area between your hair and face- wrap it round.

I am deeply convinced that each patient needs a unique, individual approach. Therefore, I use different psychotherapy methods in my work. During my studies, I discovered an in-depth interest in people as a whole and the belief in the inseparability of mind and body, and the importance of emotional health in physical health. In my spare time, I enjoy reading (a big fan of thrillers) and going on hikes.
