BEST CHEESE FOR LACTOSE INTOLERANCE (AND THE WORST)

Being lactose intolerant does not mean eliminating lactose foods from your diet. You can eat dairy products, including cheese, such as, Permesan and Cheddar- 40 g of each containing 0.0 and 0.04 g respectively. They contain almost zero lactose content because the lactose is lost during their processing. But I always discourage products sourced from cream, including cheese cream and butter. For instance, 22 g of cream cheese contains 0.55 g of lactose. These two may give digestion difficulties if you are lactose intolerant because of the high lactose content. It is best to either stay away from dairy if you are not sure, or be careful when choosing.
