From a very young age I have dedicated my life and efforts to carry the message of conserving the world’s seas, using diving as a tool for transformation.

In the early 1990s, the Rosario Islands and their tourist activities were dominated by hotels representing continental companies.

The figure and position of the natives was represented by a small settlement not recognized by the

State at that time.

The economy of this small native community, represented by its inhabitants, depended on basic economic activities such as fishing and the sale of handicrafts that they manufactured.

This project was born in 1994 with the name Snorkeling Center, founded at that time by Marine Biologists Luz Ester Sánchez and Agusto Ruiz.

Some time later the Snorkelig Center is transformed into the Culture of the Sea.

Antonio Palacio, Daniel Amezquita and Fernando Cardona, we designed a business plan based on Ecotourism. We were the winner of the Young Entrepreneurs Seed Capital award from SENA and state resources under the seed capital figure.

The challenges facing the company/market

The main challenge for us as a company is to grow with the least possible impact. The relationship between Economy and Ecology is almost unrecognizable, creating channels between these two disciplines is our mission.

The opportunities facing the business/market

The diving industry is nascent in the whole world, Diving is the tool to show the unique importance of the Seas for the balance of man on the Planet, fundamental at this time.

The worldwide confinement experienced by many people planted in most of them feelings of wanting to go out, travel, explore, be outside; have encounters largely related to Natural Life.

It is the opportunity to create Experiences that transform and Connect with Nature.

The relationship between women, men and the environment is essential for the balance of the planet.

Search New/Alternate Economies; New Markets, giving value to the land from the environmental point of view, is north.
