Parm’s Yoga is the bridge between the ancient and the modern. 

It’s a company dedicated to revitalising the ancient knowledge of yoga from thousands of years ago and putting it into a modern framework. Yoga is so much more than postures, it’s the path to a life of purpose, alignment and fulfillment. 

Not only that, yoga is the path to spiritual enlightenment and inner freedom, and Parm’s Yoga is dedicated to bringing this ancient wisdom back to the market. 

Now, I know what you must be thinking: there’s a ton of yoga on the market right now. And you’d be right, there is. 

But that yoga wouldn’t—and couldn’t—take you back to the source and reunite you with the universal consciousness. 

Why? 

Because it doesn’t come from the source. It has deviated and lost its essence. 

Through online courses, one-on-one coaching and workshops, Parm’s Yoga teaches the 8 Limbs of Yoga in philosophy and practice to guide spiritual seekers who feel lost, stuck and alone through their spiritual awakenings and self-limiting beliefs toward higher states of consciousness, inner peace and fulfillment in life.

That’s me. 

I’m Parm Saggu and all my life, I wanted one thing: I wanted to make a difference in the world. 

As I grew up, I watched the environment around me being destroyed and people engaging in the most bizarre behaviours that hurt themselves and the people around them. 

I came to the conclusion that they just didn’t know any better. 

If I could only teach them, then everyone could take care of themselves and the planet together and make it a better place. 

Fast forward to the end of my university education: I graduated with a degree in Nanotechnology Engineering and I couldn’t motivate myself to continue my studies or find work. I was so exhausted and tired of giving every part of me to a world that didn’t give anything back. 

So I did what any rational human being would do, I bought a backpacking bag and flew to South America for a year to look for answers to my deep philosophical questions.  

A year later, I had grown more than I had in my entire life, but I still hadn’t figured out who I was and what I wanted from life.  

I came home and decided that I should probably get a job. I could continue searching for my answers and make money at the same time.  

I didn’t last more than 6 months at that job. The entire time, I had an intense inner dialogue that prevented me from being present in my day. 

A part of me knew I wasn’t making the difference I was supposed to and the other part argued that I couldn’t just up and quit. It was impractical. 

So, I sat tight and hoped the feeling would just quiet down and let me live a normal life like everyone around me. 

A miniscule raise and a meeting with a bluntly honest interviewer later, I knew I was lying to myself. 

I wasn’t making a difference, and more money would never be the answer. 

I looked down the road and saw that if I didn’t make a change, my life would always be like this. I would always be compromising with myself and my values. 

More than that, this feeling of not doing enough, of being lost and alone in this world would never go away. 

Feeling like a box was closing in on me, I took a deep breath and sent in my letter of resignation.  

It was at this point that my journey really began. 

Not knowing what to do, I dove into my yoga practice. 

From weekly, it became daily. 

At the time, I didn’t know what it was about yoga that drew me to it, I just knew that when I was on my mat, it was like I didn’t exist. My limbs moved of their own accord and my mind became one with the movement. 

A couple months later, I experimented with meditation and found myself gasping for breath on more than one occasion. I was being pulled into the silence of meditation and I wasn’t ready for it. 

A few more months later, I did a breath work workshop and added that to my morning yoga routine. 

Like dominoes, things started to happen. 

  • I was invited to an ashram nearby to help get it ready for a big event coming up 
  • The event was hosted by a spiritual master who then became my Guru 
  • I did my yoga teacher training under his tutelage 
  • I came home a year later and founded Parm’s Yoga 

At that point, I didn’t know what my company would be, I just knew that the workforce wasn’t for me. 

As I continued deepening my practice, my mission became clearer and clearer in my mind. 

All of my pain – physical, emotional, and mental – was being washed away by my practice. 

Without a doubt in my mind, I realized that this is what I was meant to teach.  

This is where my puzzle piece fit. 

I had searched the world for this place, and I’d finally found it. 

I’m meant to be the bridge between Ancient India and the Western World. 

I’m here to guide spiritual seekers and people suffering the same lack of fulfilment and motivation that I did, to higher states of consciousness and fulfillment in life.  

I’m meant to help seekers uncover the mysteries of the universe and reach their maximum potential as human beings. 

Knowledge and Spiritual Wisdom 

The main challenge that Parm’s Yoga is facing comes from the lack of authentic wisdom out there. 

As a society, we’re drowning in information and starving for wisdom. 

Where does the sincere seeker turn in a world like today’s? 

I remember when I was actively seeking, I used to read about Starseeds, Indigo Children and other related concepts and just close my browser in frustration. 

These people sounded crazy and whatever was happening to me, it wasn’t that.  

I definitely wasn’t crazy. 

This held me back from seeking on the Internet and as our most extensive resource, this absolutely slowed me down. 

I hit the library, explored ruins and historical places abroad, and dug around in non-conventional places until I was scooped up by my master and shown where to look. 

Like this, the mission of Parm’s Yoga is put under undue scrutiny because people associate spirituality with crazy people and they don’t want to be associated with such concepts. 

The truth is that spirituality is the most grounded and real thing you will ever come across. 

The eight limbs of yoga start with the five yamas – how to interact with the world in a way that will save your mind from misery. 

From there, they build to samadhi – the experience of oneness. 

Parm’s Yoga’s Stepping Stones  

The challenge that Parm’s Yoga is facing is also the opportunity. 

Lack of authentic information is a huge vacuum in the market. 

Most spiritual teachers, healers and coaches on platforms like Instagram and even blogs can tell you about the spiritual awakening stage or the journey, but no one can share grounded wisdom on what comes next or how to actually move through this stage. 

Why? 

Because they don’t know. 

They haven’t reached that point and if they have, they don’t know how to replicate the transformation for others. 

A teacher can only teach what he or she knows and these teachers only touch the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the spiritual path. 

Parm’s Yoga integrates all aspects of your existence to bring you a holistic approach that educates and empowers you to dive into your subconscious mind and actively rewire it. 

This space in the market is unexplored. 

No one but Parm is reviving the knowledge of yoga in this way for the Western market. 

This work goes much beyond even what psychiatrists and psychologists do because they lack knowledge of the science of consciousness. Yoga however is the science of consciousness. It reconnects you with your Highest Self and works to establish you in that state. 

A Note from Parm 

Before going into business, fill your cup. 

Business is about service and you can’t serve others without serving yourself first. 

Building a business is one of the hardest and most rewarding things you’ll ever do, but you need to be resilient to keep moving through the ups and downs. 

To build that resilience, the number one thing that’ll help you is self care and continually working on yourself. 

For me, my morning yoga practice and meditation is a must. 

Without it, I wouldn’t have gotten as far as I have and I definitely wouldn’t have gotten here with a smile. 

There’re going to be moments when you don’t know what to do. This applies to everyone whether you already have a business, are thinking about it, or haven’t even considered it yet. 

Invest in yourself, spend time on practices that don’t have an obvious ROI.  

These are the things that’re going to get you through the tough times and allow you to accept success and failure with grace.
