CAN YOU BE ALLERGIC TO EXERCISE

Though in rare cases, exercises can induce allergic reactions. Some people tend to be allergic to workouts and can experience exercise anaphylaxis for the following reasons.

Exercise-induced allergies can be caused by consuming shellfish, peanuts, and eggs. This differs from food allergy as people might not experience anaphylaxis reactions if they don’t exercise. Exercise allergies induced by food happen when your heart rates and blood flow increase as you workout, the fast whizzing of blood in the organs collects celery bits that trigger allergic reactions. Exercise anaphylaxis can also be caused by increased celery antigens in the blood that are picked by the heightened blood flow as you run, jog or engage in strenuous physical activities.

To prevent exercise-triggered allergies, I would advise that you work out in cooler rooms to regulate body temperatures. You can also try cardio activities such as swimming to avoid sweating fast heart rates that lead to exercise allergies. Warm-up and cool your system in slow rhythms before any exercises to avoid the itchy sensations from a rapid increase in body temperatures.
