HOW MUCH CBD SHOULD I TAKE THE FIRST TIME

Are you a first-time CBD user and its related products? If so, here is what you should know about CBD and its dosages on first-time users. Cannabidiol (CBD)  is a phytocannabinoid chemical compound mainly produced by the plant species cannabis, more specifically, hemp.

Types of CBD

With the legalization of CBD in several US states, the market is flooded with CBD products such as CBD oils, topicals, edibles, oral sprays, and ointments. Most of these products are made from the three categories of CBD products: broad-spectrum and full-spectrum CBD, and isolates. Broad-spectrum CBD comprises all other cannabinoids and chemical compounds derived from the hemp plant apart from the psychotropic component THC. Full-spectrum CBD has all the chemical components and cannabinoids found in hemp, and the THC content is limited to 0.3%. CBD isolate is a pure version of CBD that contains no other cannabis plant chemicals. These diverse forms of CBD have varied effects on users and the reaction durations vary between individuals. Research trials on CBD dose for various disorders yielded the following results;

CBD Dosage on Anxiety-Related Issues

Immediate oral administration of 600 mg and 300 mg of CBD was reported to lessen anxiety on the visual analog mood scale when compared to a placebo. In another study, acute oral CBD (600 mg) administration harmed anxiety levels compared to placebo, as measured by Beck’s anxiety questionnaire. Using the visual analogue mood scale, single oral doses of 400 mg and 600 mg decreased anxiety but increased mental sedation. The studies conclusively found that oral administrations of CBD ranged between 400 mg and 600 mg, and effectively against anxiety and its related issues.

CBD Dosages on Related Psychiatric Issues

A small group of acute schizophrenia patients were given 200 to 800 mg of CBD and the same dosage of amisulpride, a strong antipsychotic, for four weeks. The results showed CBD to be as effective at lowering psychotic symptoms as amisulpride. These results also suggested that CBD had a higher level of tolerance and safety. McGurie et al. (2019) administered 1,000 mg/day to a group of schizophrenia patients as an addition to their current antipsychotic medication for six weeks. They discovered a significant improvement in positive psychotic symptoms as well as improvements in physicians’ evaluations of illness improvement. As a result, when using CBD to treat or as a substitute for psychotic drugs, dosages ranging from 300 mg to 1000mg may be used, depending on the effectiveness of CBD on the user.

Conclusion

CBD comes in three varieties: full-spectrum, broad-spectrum, and isolates. These formulations have varying amounts of purity and additional components that affect their potency. Generally, regardless of the type of CBD employed, dosages ranging from 200 mg to 1,000 mg have been shown to be effective against anxiety and psychotic-related disorders.

HOW TO READ CBD LABELS

Are you stuck on which CBD product to choose from? Do you understand what the labels on these products imply? If not, then take a seat and learn how to read what these labels imply. CBD is a cannabinoid chemical compound obtained from hemp and marijuana. CBD and THC differ not only in their chemical composition but also in the effects they have.

Source Of Hemp

It is vital to determine the origin and source of hemp used to produce any CBD product. A good label should provide information about where and how (method) the hemp was farmed and manufactured. The quality of the hemp utilized is an important predictor of the finished product’s quality.

The Manufacturing Process.

The extraction procedure begins immediately after harvesting hemp. CBD can be extracted using a variety of techniques, including carbon dioxide and ethanol extraction. Carbon dioxide is advantageous since it involves the use of carbon dioxide gas, which is non-toxic when consumed. Ethanol extraction is useful for large-scale manufacturing processes, but it requires the use of other chemicals to obtain a pure result.

The THC Level.

CBD products derived from hemp that contain less than 0.3 percent THC are allowed at the federal level, although still banned under several state regulations. CBD products produced from marijuana are federally banned, but are lawful in several states. When purchasing goods containing both THC and CBD, make sure the label displays 0.3 percent THC content. Additionally, perform a background check to determine that these products are legal in your state.

Third-Party Lab Reports

High-quality CBD products should have labelling that include third-party lab findings (COA). A third-party lab report is required to determine the quality of the CBD product. A trustworthy product containing high-quality CBD should have obvious labelling of the lab company and a brief indication of the report results.

The Dosing

Look for goods that have clear labelling and list the amount of CBD in each dose, rather than just the total amount in the bottle. CBD beginners should start with a modest dose and gradually increase, noting positive and negative reactions as well as any additional side effects.

Conclusion

As a single quality indicator, it is critical to seek for products with clearly produced labelling. Look for products that have the following labelling: source of hemp, third-party lab results, dosage, THC levels, and the manufacturing procedure utilized to make the CBD oil.
