CBD chocolate chip cookies might be expensive. Learning how to make your own may help you save some coins. This article will discuss the few steps of making your chocolate chip cookies with CBD.

Tips on how to Make the Best Chocolate Chip Cookies with CBD

There are various ways to incorporate CBD into your chocolate cookies. However, coming up with the best results depends on incorporating CBD oil and the type of CBD oil you choose to use. You can also choose to use CBD butter or CBD-infused coconut oil. Ranalli & Venturi (2004) realized that the best way to incorporate CBD oil into your cooking is to introduce it towards the end. As you prepare the dough, add CBD oil as the last ingredient. Chill the cookie dough for about 30 minutes before baking. Chilling allows the gluten strands to stretch, giving your cookies the best texture. Sheppard et al. (2006) recommended keeping the CBD under 350 degrees as exposure to very high temperatures can destroy the CBD making it less effective. Fadda et al. (2004) also argued that CBD is also sensitive to light; store your prepared dough in a dark place. With the conditions in mind, Rodriguez & Munir (2019) advised storing CBD oil in air-tight containers in a cool dark room. Other baking ingredients should be at room temperatures for better results. If you want your cookies to be rich in CBD, add a lot of oil, as some will be lost during the baking. To enhance the taste of your cookies, you can use flavored CBD oil. For best serving sizes, chop your CBD chocolate into chips.

Tools Required

Preparing CBD chocolate chips is a simple process. You do not require many tools. You only need some basic equipment such as:

  • Droppers- They will help you measure the CBD oil instead of using scooping spoons that might cause spills.
  • An oven
  • An electric beater/ a wooden whipping stick
  • A fridge
  • A scoop
  • A large melamine mixing bowl
  • 1 tablespoon. You will require it to measure some ingredients such as salt and baking powder.
  • 2 cups. One cup for measuring flour and the other one for the milk.

Chocolate Chip Cookies Ingredients

  • 200mg CBD oil1 tsp. of baking soda
  • ¾ cup of granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup of brown sugar
  • 1 cup of softened butter
  • 2 medium-sized eggs
  • 1 tsp. of vanilla extract
  • 2 ¾ cups of all-purpose baking flour
  • 10 oz of chocolate chips
  • 1 cup of milk (optional)

Procedure

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. For accuracy, you can use a separate oven thermometer. It will take about 20 minutes to reach the intended temperatures. Baking at a high temperature beyond 350 degrees will evaporate CBD or make it lose its potency.
  • Line the baking sheets using parchment paper and grease them. Greasing the parchment paper will prevent the cookies from sticking to the paper.
  • In a large bowl, add the softened butter.
  • Add the brown sugar to the bowl, followed by the granulated sugar.
  • Mix the ingredients using an electric beater or a wooden whipping stick until the mixture is fluffy. Use medium speed.
  • Beat eggs in a small bowl. Add them to the mixture in the large mixing bowl.
  • Add vanilla extract. Mix the ingredients
  • Add CBD oil to the mixture. Adding CBD at this late stage helps in maintaining its potency.
  • Add flour gradually until the dough is hard enough. You can also gradually add some milk to the mixture if there is not enough liquid to make the dough.
  • Make some balls of cookies. If the dough is warm, put it in the fridge until it achieves room temperature. Chilling will also help to make your cookies thicker and more flavorful.
  • Use a scoop to put cookie dough on the prepared cookie sheet. You can also use your hands to scoop the dough. Ensure your hands are clean.
  • Place the sheet into the oven. Preferably slide to the middle of the oven.
  • Set the oven timer for 10-12 minutes.
  • Avoid checking them regularly as you might incorporate cold air into the oven making the cookies to be undercooked.
  • Bake until the edges are golden brown. Also, check the bottom of the cookies; they should be golden-brown.
  •  If you are cooking in shift, remove the cooking from the sheet, and place them on a cool rack. The cooling rack should be in a dark room as CBD is highly sensitive to light. Allow the cookie sheet to cool and line it before baking the second batch.
  • Using a chocolate chip, press on the top of the cookies to make them round out and flatten.
  • Serve your cool cookies with a hot or a cold drink or as a dessert.

Caution

If you intend to share the cookies with a friend, notify them that they contain CBD. CBD is not safe for some people, such as pregnant and nursing mothers. CBD may also interact with some medications.

The work of a family doctor includes a wide range of clinical diversity, which requires extensive knowledge and erudition from a specialist. However, I believe that the most important thing for a family doctor is to be human because the cooperation and understanding between the doctor and the patient are crucial in ensuring successful health care. On my days off, I love being in nature. Since childhood, I have been passionate about playing chess and tennis. Whenever I have time off, I enjoy traveling around the world.
