DOES ROCKING BACK AND FORTH ON THE TOILET HELP YOU POOP?

DOES ROCKING BACK AND FORTH ON THE TOILET HELP YOU POOP?

  1. Does rocking help you poop

  Yes, it does.

  • Why or why not

Rocking or doing any movements when constipated can work to provide contractions in the colon, helping pass stool better. Rocking back and forth is good for offering back and forward contractions for efficiency in this.

3. When should this be done

When having chronic constipation, such as, lack of pooping in three days or more.

  • What should someone try if they’re having trouble going?

I recommend;

  • Exercise to increase possible contractions in the colon.
  • Eat foods high in fiber to improve gut bacteria for better digestion.
  • Drinking fresh water more often to soften the poop.

What does it mean if you suddenly have to poop? Right when you leave home?

It means your bowel movements are swift enough to pass poop easily.

 What does this mean?

Pooping immediately after leaving home could be due to nervousness, which may heighten the serotonin amount in the gut leading to spasms in the colon. As a result, you may experience surprising bowel movements. It could also be due to production of more cortisol, the stress hormone, which can increase nervousness. Again, the nerves in your colon could be oversensitive, possibly leading to faster passing of poop.
