DOING A ROUND UP OF SKIN AND HAIR MISTAKES

DOING A ROUND UP OF SKIN AND HAIR MISTAKES

Using extreme heat for styling

Excessive heat denatures the hydrogen bonds that put your hair together. As a result, the hair becomes weak and risks breakage. I always tell my clients that texture to your hair is more important than styling and curls. It is best to either stay away from heat or reduce the frequency and amount of heat applied.

Using alcohol-based skin products

Alcoholic beauty products, such as, a toner is harmful to your skin. Alcohol is dehydrating and can dry out your skin, leaving your pores exposed, and the skin cracked.

Lip licking

What do you do when your lips go dry but there is no lip balm? Well, most women prefer licking thinking it will help moisturize their lips. It is a mistake because your lips will only dry up even more, leading to discoloration and chapping.

Infrequent sunscreen application

If you keep forgetting your sunscreen while in your 20’s, you may end up with aging signs as early as in the 30’s. UV rays exposure can cause wrinkles, pigmentation, and fine lines.
