Drinking Habits That Are Causing Havoc to Your Blood Sugar

Drinking less than 8 Glasses of Water Daily

Dehydration can cause havoc on your blood sugar. Normally, water helps in regulating blood sugar. This means denying yourself sufficient water daily can cause a spike in your blood sugar levels.

Drinking Alcohol While Under Diabetic Medications

Certain diabetic medications interact with alcohol, resulting in low blood sugar levels. If you have diabetes, drinking alcohol in moderation can also spike your blood sugar levels, while taking multiple drinks can cause a fall in your blood sugar levels.

Skipping Food in Your Drinking Night

Drinking alcohol on an empty belly is never a great idea. Normally, food absorbs alcohol, maintaining healthy blood sugar levels. Walking in that club or pub on an empty stomach means there is nothing to absorb alcohol, increasing the chances of a drop in your blood sugar levels.

In my free time, I love to paint and go on long walks on the beach. One of my latest obsessions is sudoku – a wonderful activity to calm an unease mind.
