EATING HABITS STALLING WEIGHT LOSS

Here are some unhealthy eating habits that slow your weight loss process and my alternative recommendations;

Unhealthy Snacking

Most people snack on junk food and drinks whenever they feel hungry. Snacks such as chips, candy, cookies, fruit juices, and sodas are high in sodium, unhealthy fats, sugars, or calories, eventually stall weight loss, especially when eaten frequently.

To fix this, I recommend you stock your home with healthy snack options and drinks like yogurt, veggies, fruits, and almonds to supply the body with essential nutrients that support weight loss.

Eating Heavy Meals at Night

You can easily put on more weight when you eat heavy meals, especially those high in trans fats, or drink unhealthy drinks. The food will not be fully digested at night as the metabolism is slower, leading to more fat accumulation from the calories consumed, inhibiting weight loss in the long run.

Ensure you avoid any meals after dinner and take your evening food earlier. Don’t take food in your bedroom too.

Skipping Breakfast

Some people might opt to skip morning meals to lower their calorie intake. However, missing breakfast is bad for weight loss. It slows down body metabolism and increases the chances of overeating throughout the day to compensate for the needed energy levels. I advise you make it a habit to eat healthy breakfast foods each day, such as veggies, yogurt, fruits, cereals, etc.
