FINDING PARTNERS ONLINE, BEYOND ONLINE DATING

I do not recommend virtual dating because it may be unhealthy. Many people inviting relationship applications or showing interest in finding a match are deceitful. It starts with their profiles, which lie to make them look more attractive. It may be difficult to find a partner that can make real life matching for a healthy relationship

I think the trend has more negative consequences than positive. For example, virtual dating has led to people having various romantic and sexual partners. It results to numerous short-lived relationships possibly because as much as engaging with partners is easier, disengaging also happens similarly. It can create the concept of people having to separate their sex life from their other life, which is seen in individuals who get involved in ‘deviant’ sexual behavior while protecting their ‘image’ in public eyes. Furthermore, it has transformed cohabitation and marriage behaviors, making many people remain single or delay getting married.
