  • 6 tablespoons of  cornstarch
  • ½ cup of lemon juice, especially fresh lemon, for taste
  • ½ cup of cold water
  • 2 tablespoons of butter, preferably melted
  • 3 egg yolks, which should be beaten
  • One-and-a-half of boiled water
  • 1 teaspoon of lemon zest
  • 5 ml of CBD oil or tincture (although you can also do CBD cooking oil)

You need the following ingredients for the meringue;

  • ¼ teaspoon of cream of tartar
  • 2 egg whites
  • ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons of sugar

Procedure

The following are the steps you need to follow to prepare the meringue pie;

  • Mix sugar, salt, and cornstarch in a medium saucepan.
  • Stir the cold water and lemon juice continuously until you attain smoothness.
  • Put the egg yolk and the melted butter into the mixture.
  • Add CBD oil to the boiling water to the mixture above.
  • Put the mixture on heat and allow it to boil as you mix.
  • As the mixture gains thickness, remove heat and let it simmer for 60 seconds.
  • Do away with the heat and introduce lemon zest as you stir the mixture.
  • Pour the mixture into the baked pie shell and put meringue as the cover.

Meringue instructions;

With the meringue ready, proceed as follows;

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
  • Whip the egg whites to attain frothiness.
  • Add the cream of tartar to the egg.
  • Whip the eggs until they form stiff, and do not beat them further.
  • Add 3 tablespoons of sugar to the mixture and beat slowly, avoiding overbeating.
  • Add vanilla extract to the mixture.
  • Spread the pie on the baking sheet and 10 – 15 minutes.
  • F the 15 minutes elapse with some parts uncooked, allow another 2 minutes until all the parts fully cook.
