Guide to Different Types of Bondage Gags

This article discusses the different types of gag that are available. There are more types than you might think and all fit different situations. While me and my other half cannot try every type of gag due to the cost, I will still endeavour to say the upsides and downside to each one.

We shall start with the most common. The Ball Gag. Basically it is a ball that varies in size that is secured into the mouth to stop the jaw from closing. This gag is good for general BDSM play. Not only does it mute the screaming some what, it also gives them something to bite down on. They are made to be worn for quite some time now, no longer hard plastic, so can actually be quite comfortable. The downside, though it can be considered an upside, is that the person wearing it generally tends to drool, being unable to swallow properly. Whether this appeals to you or not is up to you.

Next is the Open Mouthed Gag, or Ring Gag. This does the same effect as the Ball Gag, securing the mouth open, but being a ring it allows oral penetration with little resistance. Now this is for the somewhat kinkier side of BDSM. Some of the stories I have heard from people using them even made my eyebrows rise a little. It has the same drool problem as before but to a much greater extent. It has also been known to make the jaw ache more than that of the ball gag, but it does disappear with practice.

Next is the Inflatable or Penis Gag. These gags work much like the Ball Gag in a way, except that it is inflated inside the mouth. Now these gags are effective. With enough pumping the slave will be unable to move their tongue, let alone make any sound. There is a more extreme version of this as well but if you have any gag reflex what so ever I would suggest avoiding it. It is basically an inflatable penis that goes down the throat as well, so the constant feeling of deepthroating, but slightly less as you can still breath. As I said, gagging with this tied on can be fatal so, make sure you know what you are getting in to.

Next is the medical gag. Personally I would avoid these as most are flawed in their design. While quite effective they hurt, there is no two ways about it. After an hour you ache, after a few hours you are in agony that will last a few days. Also, being bare metal, they are also known to chip teeth if put in wrong, which is never a good thing. So, while you can get them, they have more flaws that benefits.

Last but not least are the Pony Bit Gags. These need little explaining really, they are exactly like a horse bit. For those of you alien to horses that is basically a bar strapped into you mouth. Now these can be used all the time in scenes, but I always feel they have a time and a place. Sometimes they just don’t work in certain situations. They are effective however and can look quite sexy, especially if you have the rest of the gear as it were. They can cause the sides of the mouth to ache after a while, along with the drool that afflicts every other gag, but that is what comes with gags.

So, we have looked at five different types of gags this time. Personally I feel the Ball Gag is best, as it fits a variety of different situations. This is quickly followed by the Open Mouth Gag if you wish to have some oral fun as well. As for the rest it is all personal preference, though I would still suggest avoid the medial versions. I am sure some of you have experiences with gags, so tell us about them.

Nutrition plays an important role in human life. Eating habits are one of the factors that affect our health. There is often a misconception among people that nutritionists force a very restrictive diet, but that is not true. In fact, I don't ban any products, but I point out dietary mistakes and help change them by giving tips and new recipes that I've tried myself. I advise my patients not to resist change and to be purposeful. Only with willpower and determination can a good result be achieved in any area of life, including changing eating habits. When I don't work, I love to go climbing. On a Friday evening, you are most likely to find me on my couch, cuddling with my dog and watching some Netflix.
