Health Benefits of Turmeric

Reduces Depression

Curcumin, a compound responsible for turmeric’s color and taste is said to increase the levels of serotonin and dopamine. When the serotonin and dopamine stores are full, you are more likely to experience a positive mood.

Lowers the Risk of Cancer

Curcumin is said to harbor anti-inflammatory effects. Due to this, it can prevent the damage of free radicals that makes you more susceptible to cancer.

Prevents Alzheimer’s Disease

Researchers believe curcumin can keep Alzheimer’s disease at bay, thanks largely to its anti-inflammatory properties.  However, further studies need to be performed before people can make the spice their go-to Alzheimer’s disease cure.

Using the acquired academic and professional experience, I advise patients with various complaints about mental health - depressed mood, nervousness, lack of energy and interest, sleep disorders, panic attacks, obsessive thoughts and anxieties, difficulty concentrating, and stress. In my free time, I love to paint and go on long walks on the beach. One of my latest obsessions is sudoku – a wonderful activity to calm an unease mind.
