HEALTHY FOOD THAT MIGHT CAUSE BLOATING

Here are some healthy foods that can increase bloating;

Wheat and barley

These wholegrains are high in fiber which can support gut health. However, its packed with insoluble fibers that doesn’t breakdown fully causing build-up of stomach gases. Barley and wheat are also rich in gluten proteins which are known to spike bloating and other digestive conditions especially in people with gluten sensitivity.

Apples

Eating excess apples can increase bloating and other digestive issues due to the high fructose sugars and insoluble fibers when consumed raw.

Beans

Beans are healthy legumes high in fiber and other nutrients. It also contains carbs and oligosaccharide sugars that are known to cause bloating as they don’t digest fully and take time to breakdown. This leads to fermentation and accumulation of gas in the stomach.

Other healthy foods that can cause bloating include; onions, cabbage, prune, garlic, Brussel sprouts, lentils and cauliflower.
