Afternoon Slump

How To Lift Your Energy Levels After an Afternoon Slump

Most of us are casualties of the afternoon slump. This natural phenomenon occurs when our circadian dips, resulting in a drop in body temperature and increased melatonin production. The result? We feel sleepy.

How To Beat the Afternoon Slump

Stay hydrated. Most of us experience fatigue during the day due to dehydration. Having said that, drinking water even if you are not thirsty can boost your energy levels and help you beat the afternoon slump. Overeating or eating carb-heavy lunches can also trigger an afternoon slump. As a nutritionist, I strongly suggest eating reasonable amounts of food. You may also want to avoid carb-heavy lunches.

The work of a family doctor includes a wide range of clinical diversity, which requires extensive knowledge and erudition from a specialist. However, I believe that the most important thing for a family doctor is to be human because the cooperation and understanding between the doctor and the patient are crucial in ensuring successful health care. On my days off, I love being in nature. Since childhood, I have been passionate about playing chess and tennis. Whenever I have time off, I enjoy traveling around the world.
