Japanese Sleeping Cafe Charges For Snuggles

Sometimes all you need after a long day at work is a soft bed and a snuggle partner. So says the Japanese snuggle café Soineya ‘co-sleeping specialty shop’. Here patrons can turn up for a few minutes or a few hours, as long as they’re willing to pay, and snuggle up to their fantasy girl as they nod off.

Sex is strictly prohibited, the website declares, but you are still invited to choose a girl who fits your ideal statistics (height, bra size, personality description) in a fantasy maid outfit or her lacy jim jams as you snuggle up for some spooning in a bed booth.

The admission fee into the co-sleeping shop is hefty, at ¥ 3,000 (around £20) which entitles you to 40 minutes of co-sleeping. Thereafter a ¥ 3,000 will get you another 20-minute top-up, or you can go the whole hog at ¥ 50,000 for 10 hours. Additional options include an “arm pillow” option (three minutes only), a one-minute stare, a change of clothes for the girl, or the option to sleep on a girl’s lap or butt.

Soineya has announced that they are offering work to talented girls who want to be professional “sleepers” who enjoy fun and unusual working routines in a maid outfit uniform. Incidentally, they advertise the salary at the same price as a 20-minute nap.

If you don’t want to make the trip out to Tokyo, perhaps New York is a suitable snuggling destination? Jackie Samuel, a New Yorker with a passion for snuggling, offers hourly cuddling services for $60.00 a pop. She mostly cuddles older men, but is open to unusual requests and experiences. She has even studied the cuddle sutra and welcomes requests for any of the 100 cuddle positions therein.
