Jennifer Aniston on Installing a Stripper Pole at Home

Love her or hate her, Jennifer Aniston is seldom out of the blogosphere. In the actress’ latest movie, We’re the Millers, she plays a stripper opposite Jason Sudeikis. The movie is about a drug dealer (played by Sudeikis) who attempts to send a large amount of marijuana from Mexico into America, and the fake family he has to invent for the sake of the mission.

Aniston has often been portrayed as America’s ‘sweetheart’, and her good-girl image can be a bore to some – although she starred in a film called The Good Girl where she played a character who was anything but good (a bored retail worker who has an affair with a much younger man, played by Jake Gyllenhaal). The trailer for her new movie shows Aniston performing a lap dance in a smoky strip joint, but those hoping for a dark performance like Natalie Portman’s as a stripper in Closer (2004) will be disappointed – Aniston has her usual comic role.

In the process of training for her new movie, Aniston found what countless women who join strip classes also find – that a stripper pole can provide a fun workout. The actress joked that she had to be ‘dragged’ off the set each night, as once she started learning her sexy choreography she couldn’t get enough. She even joked that she has installed a stripper pole in her house, something that her hubby-to-be, Justin Theroux, would surely not object to.

It’s just as well that Aniston’s latest role is comedic, as it might be hard to take her seriously as a stripper. Olivia Munn made a guest appearance as an ‘exotic dancer’ in the hit US show New Girl, and her dark looks and bad-girl pose made the part believable. Even so, the legion of Aniston fans who have been following her since her long stint starring as Rachel in the sitcom Friends are likely to watch her regardless of whether or not her stripper is believable.
