Join Up Dots – steps to building a successful online business, with a focus on health, mindset and motivation

The business name is Join Up Dots, and its primary focus is showing the world the steps to build a widely successful online business whilst maintaining a core focus on health, mindset and motivation first and foremost.

It was obvious after the owner (David Ralph) hit acute burnout after running several businesses at the same time that to gain true success the first part of the puzzle is maintaining a firm and educated health regime. The kind of regime that most entrepreneurs disregard to their detriment.

When you decide to make the decision to put your mask on first, you can then tap into the energy and increased focus that brings a profitable business into the world faster than ever.

You no longer need to struggle as you can see with clarity the steps you need to take in a measured and confident manner.

Founder’s/Owner’s story and what motivated them to start the business

The route to where Join Up Dots Business and Lifestyle coaching is a long and varied one with many different dots leading in many different directions, but it’s true to say that the story got interesting after hearing the famous Steve Jobs “Connect the dots” graduation speech whereby the Apple founder stated “You can only see how you got there by looking back and connecting the dots”

David Ralph realized at this point that after ten years of building online businesses (some very successful whilst others failing miserably) he had all the skills to show others the way forward. His passion was high, his ambition even higher and so he set off on a punishing schedule to change the world. Join Up Dots was brought into the world and set him on a path that took him further away from the success he hoped for than he truly ever expected.

20 hour days were the normal state of affairs, and exhaustion became something he no longer noticed. It was just how life was, until his body gave way and he was told he was six weeks from a heart attack or stroke unless he changed his lifestyle completely.

It was then that his second big dot became clear to him, and he realized that he had been aiming at the wrong piece of the business building puzzle, and in fact the old adage of “Win the inner game and the outer game takes care of itself” became true.

He went from 20 hour working days to 2 hour working days. He spent as much time as he could sleeping. He refused 99% of clients, and saw his profits increase by 578%

The reason was clear: He could uber focus on building the lifestyle first, and discovered this was what people truly wanted. His clients didn’t want a successful business, but they did want the rewards that a successful business brought them.

That change of focus transported everything that he did to the next level and the one above that. It was quite simply a game changer.

The opportunities the business/market is facing

Certainly the pandemic of 2020 was a defining moment in the world of business, whereby many companies needed to see a new way of operating to survive and many staff members looked for a change too.

Flexible working hours from home became common place and with that a dawning realisation that people could create a different way of living whilst still earning an income.

At Join Up Dots we saw a huge increase in interest from potential customers across the world who suddenly saw they had increased time to build a new income through a side hustle. They also saw that this was a moment of change and it was up to them to start taking control of the decisions that build their lives.

Advice to others about business

When it comes to business there are very few new ideas that haven’t been tested out by others in the past. Before you ever start working on your dream passion, work hard on your due diligence. Look at the market place, and start following the leaders. Look at how they operate. How their marketing operates. How many interactions they gain from their social media.

Take note of which posts, tweets gain the most movement and then make copies of what is working to put your own spin on them.

There is no point in recreating the wheel when there are already others showing the way to what works in business.

My biggest advice to anyone in business is follow the dots of success. Use the best that is already out there and then bring that into your own efforts.

Following on from that, ensure your business is nothing to do with what you like and everything about what your clients would like. Build the emotional temperature of your products and services to clearly excite your visitors into seeing where their lives would be in the future.

Nothing converts into sales better than a quick and easy transformation, and once you truly nail what your clients are really looking for them everything in business becomes really easy.
