KIDS' HAYFEVER

KIDS’ HAYFEVER

How to know your child has hayfever

I advise you to check on the following symptoms in your kids to know if they have hay fever;

  • Frequent sneezing
  • Endless coughs
  • Blocked nostrils on either one side or both.
  • Itchy throat and ears
  • Endless headaches
  • Watery and red eyes
  • A decline in the scent sense
  • Shallow breathes
  • A gooey nose
  • Awful mouth breath/ odor and sore throats

What can you do about it

I recommend you first identify the triggers or causatives of the hayfever, whether dust, pollen, hair, spores, or fur, and limit or block any chance of your kid coming into contact with it.

You can also cover or layer the nose and mouth with vaseline to trap the causatives, enhance ventilation in the house, install pollen filters or vacuum cleaners, and wear sunglasses to minimize contact with pollens, dust, or hair and fur.

When your child has hay fever, buying medications such as antihistamines and nasal sprays can help manage the symptoms.
