MEDITATION BENEFITS

MEDITATION BENEFITS

1.What does it mean to meditate? What does it entail?

To meditate is to practice awareness of the present moment with a heightened state of concentration. It entails breath and body connection, alteration of consciousness, and releasing any bad emotions.

2. What are some of the benefits of meditation? Please explain why meditation helps with these things.

Helps maintain focus

Meditation enhances focus through keeping you concentrated on your breath and body. It limits the struggle of shifting from one task to another. Even studies indicate that people with less attention span can increase it through meditation.

Boosts mood

Regular meditation is great for general mood improvement. It affects an individual’s physical relaxation state and improves their response to the world outside. It helps feelbetter and raises your energy levels due to reduced stress.

3. How often a day/week should you meditate, and for how long?

I would say meditation has no limits; it depends on you. Some people may do it once every day and others choose morning and evening. I recommend 10 minutes in a one day.

4. Is it common to feel distracted or frustrated when you try meditating for the first time? How can you move past that hurdle?

It is definitely common to be destructed. But whenever distractions come, for example, noisy neighbors or screaming kids, please do not resist the noise. Instead, embrace it, let the sounds in and out without being upset. Suppose it is too much, use earplugs next time in your meditation.

5. Do you recommend using apps like Headspace? Are there any other meditation apps you recommend?

Of course, yes. The apps give guided practices that offer different meditation prowess levels. I recommend apps, including Insight Timer, Buddhify, and Simple Habit.
