Relax your body, calm your mind, and soothe your spirit with this guided meditation lecture. Practicing meditation can help with greater mental clarity, resetting, and rebalancing every system in your body. It has a profound, rich, and calming effect, promoting feelings of peace and a sense of awareness.

This guided meditation lecture for ‘Grounding’ will allow you to centre your body and mind. Our lives can become very uncertain at times, causing us to lose our sense of peace and assurance. In order to truly show up for ourselves and to those around us, it’s important to be with the breath and observe our physical and emotional state of being.  The following are signs that you may not be grounded in your life:

• You see yourself as highly sensitive

• You struggle to make decisions

• You notice yourself forgetting often

• Your breathing is shallow and fast

• You are experiencing brain fog

• You feel consumed with worry or are experiencing anxiety

Becoming grounded will help you to feel more calm and aware. This is a very powerful way to become more emotionally present within yourself and in your relationships. Implementing mindfulness into your routine can help you become more conscious of your emotions, clear your mind, and strengthen your instincts.

This practice guides you through gentle breath- work, allowing you the space to find your inner calm and relax. By tuning into the sensations of the breath, you will strengthen your self-awareness and learn to appreciate the present moment for what it truly is.

You will further explore a visualisation exercise by imagining the breath as if it were the roots of a tree extending down into the earth below you. By implementing the associations with the earth, you are enhancing your connection to the natural flow of life.

Earth is the ground wire and the foundation of all living things — it restores and rejuvenates our energy field. We are part of nature, and when we become disassociated from the earth, we lose our way in life.

By practising this grounding meditation, you will experience heightened feelings of peacefulness and calm, quieting down the chaos and confusion that we all experience. Regular practice can help to reduce everyday anxiety and stress, improve your sleep, energise your body and mood, and ultimately improve your overall health and wellbeing. The Guided Meditation

Welcome to StarLight Breeze meditations … In this practice we will focus on grounding … May you find a comfortable position … Sit in an upright posture … Perfectly balanced in your centre of gravity … Not too far forward or back, neither too far left or right … Make sure your shoulders are relaxed … Gently close your eyes ..

Shifting your attention to the breath … Take a long, deep breath in … And a long, deep breath out … And again … Breathing in … Feeling the belly expand … And breathe out, feeling the air escape from the mouth … Breathing in … Becoming relaxed … Breathing out …

Letting go of all tension … Releasing any worry, doubt, or concern … Letting go of any expectations … Of any reminders … Just being here … With the body, mind, and breath … And if at any point you feel your thoughts pulling away from the practice, softly acknowledge that your mind has strayed and return to the sensations of the breath … Imagining the breath as a whole now … Filling you from the top of the head, all the way to the tips of the toes …

And now … Shifting your attention to the earth beneath you … The way your body is connected to the floor … Tune into the physical surface that is supporting you in this moment … Hold your attention on the areas of your body that are in direct contact what is beneath you … Maintaining your focus on the breath … Feeling the how your weight is distributed over all the points of contact with the earth … Staying present … Staying mindful … Seeing how it feels to hold your body in its fullness … Observe any sensations here … Any tightness … Any holding on … Any discomfort … Simply being with the body …

And now … Imagine the breath as if it were the roots of a tree extending down into the soil … Allow your breath to flow freely to the ground beneath you … Continuing to travel down into the earth … Through the bedrock … Through underground caverns … Rivers … And lakes … Growing and pushing down … Down … All the way down … And as your breath roots very deeply into the earth now, it begins to spread … Just like the tendrils of a tree … Seeking for the heart centre of the earth … You are feeling very relaxed here … Becoming grounded to the earth …

The ground is your place of connection … It supports your every move … Strengthening the alliance between the earth and your being … Feel the way your body feels at peace in this moment … Your bones heavy … Give yourself the permission to release all that no longer serves you along with the breath … Release all your troubles … All your concerns … Worries … All of your fears … You are realising any holding on … Becoming free … Breathing deeply here … You feel at one … You feel complete … You are rooted deeply within … Nurtured and safe … Feeling calm and secure … Feeling at home in your body … In your mind …

As this practice comes to an end … Place both of your hands on either side of your body, touching the ground with your palms flat … Give gratitude for the earth for such abundance … Keeping only what you need from this practice … Releasing all that no longer serves you … Feeling the warmth of the ground here … Feeling the touch … And when you are ready … Begin wiggling your toes … Moving your head from side to side … Inviting any external sounds back into your surroundings … Slowly open your eyes … Feeling centred … Feeling grounded … We hope you enjoyed this meditation practice by StarLight Breeze, and may you have a wonderful day.
