NOISE COMES

NOISE COMES IN MANY DIFFERENT COLORS – HERE’S WHAT THEY MEAN

What are the colors of noise?

White noise

White noise has a clear frequency with evenly distributed energy through the frequency. It is highly recommended in sleeping environments because its equal intensity can conceal sounds irritating the brain. For example, hissing radiator, whirling fan, or radio static.

 Pink noise

If you can hear any sound with unevenly distributed energy, that is pink noise. It has a deep sound due to high intensity at lower frequencies—for example, the sound of the wind, steady rain, or heartbeat.

Brown noise, etc.

Brown noise is deeper than the above because it has high energy at lower frequencies. For example, the sound of low roaring or thunder.

What are the differences?

If you compare pink and white noise, the former is deeper. However, it is not as deep as brown noise.

How are these beneficial?

White noise is significant in avoiding sleep interruption, whereas brown noise helps focus during your day’s endeavors, such as, work or class work for boosted productivity. People also get relieved of stress after listening to brown noise. On the other hand, pink noise slows down brain waves, leading to deep and more calming sleep than white noise.
