SKILLS TO BUILD SELF-AWARENESS

Look at the below practical skills for improving self-awareness;

Meditation

Mindful meditation entails focusing on your breathing and the present moment. Suppose your mind slips and brings in different thoughts, shift your intention back to your focus. Mindfulness and meditation have been used in various ways, such as depression relief. It can also enhance your self-awareness level.

Sketch your life’s timeline

During my career, I assigned clients to draw a timeline of their life. The exercise was simple: Get an empty piece of paper and a pencil. Begin from birth, indicating every major event that happened to you. Think about the ones that hugely impacted your life, whether positive, negative, small, or big. This way, they get a new perspective on difficult or distressing moments by viewing that particular period in the setting. Developmentally thinking is useful in bettering your self-awareness.
