STOOLS

STOOLS

How the color of your stools could signal health conditions ie. what do pale stools mean?

Black and tarry

Black poop could indicate a health issue in the GI tract. It could be you are losing blood may be in the small intestines or stomach. Also, people mainly taking drugs with bismuth or iron supplements are likely to have black and tarry poop.

Pale poop

Pale or putty-colored stool show potential issues in the biliary region containing the bile ducts. It could be a sign of biliary cirrhosis, which is mainly linked to damaged bile ducts.

Bright red/ marron/dark red

If your stool has the above colors, I recommend seeking immediate medical attention. It could mean your colon or stomach is bleeding, could be for different reasons perhaps due to ulcers.
