SWEATING

SWEATING

Is it normal to sweat throughout the day?

In my view, sweating throughout the day is normal. It can be due to hot weather, demanding physical activities, after-effects of certain medications, anxiety, and other health conditions. A dysfunction in the sweat glands that makes them overactive can make you sweat more even when idle, a less serious condition known as hyperhidrosis.

What are the best ways to stay cool and comfortable if you sweat a lot or have a job that makes you sweat?

I recommend you;

  • Wear loose or baggy clothes, especially those made with natural fabrics.
  • Always ensure you are in a cool environment; having a fan in your workplace can be ideal.
  • Limit your intake of medications and foods that trigger sweating like caffeine, alcohol, and spices.
  • Swap your deodorants with antiperspirants.
  • Have an absorbent hand towel with you to dry off any sweat.
  • Opt for leather shoes and socks made of absorbent natural fabrics.
  • Avoid wearing tight-fitting clothes, especially those made of nylon or any synthetic fabric.
  • Use anti-chafe, powders, active dry deodorants, face wipes, and cooling shower gels.
