The #1 Sign of Cancer

The most common sign of cancer. What symptom, if you experience it, warrants an immediate call to your doctor? What tests may be necessary, and how might a patient help enable an accurate diagnosis?

During my career, I noticed a common complain among cancer patients. They mostly reported noticing fatigue that did not go away with enough rest, whether they worked the whole day or not. I discovered it is a common early sign in most cancer patients. It happens because cancer cells utilize the body’s nutrients to increase. Hence, the body lacks nutrients for replenishing the body, making you feel tired throughout. But I recommend contacting your doctor if the symptoms become more severe to impact your life’s quality.

A biopsy is necessary for early cancer detection. A needle biopsy can help obtain fluid or tissue from the patient to test for possible signals of cancer cells. Accurate diagnosis is possible mainly when a patient accurately presents the symptoms and as early as possible. Also, regular cancer screening even without any symptoms helps detect the cells early enough for better treatment.
