THE THINGS THEY DO PERSONALLY TO STAY HEALTHY ON HOLIDAY

I stay active throughout the period

A side from my profession, I am a fitness enthusiast and I love being active no matter the season and place. I make good use of the stairs and move around during breaks. If I go on vacation with my family, we must always have fun activities, including hide and seek or rope skipping competition. Sometimes, we form a small team and determine a sport to play and compete amongst ourselves for fun. I like it because we can reduce stress and lose some weight during the vacay.

I get sufficient sleep

After a day of full fun and fatigue, I make sure my normal sleep hours are not altered- 7-8 hours. I also advise my clients to avoid overlooking the holiday events and forego their sleep routine. Insufficient sleep causes fatigue that is associated with poor diets and low energy.

I eat healthy meals

Holidays are famous for dining and feasting plus having fun, which greatly leads to poor food choices. While most people do that, I highly recommend eating fruits, vegetables, healthy fats, and lean proteins. Their calorie levels are lower and provide numerous health benefits. I also insist on drinking lots of water for more gains.

Using the acquired academic and professional experience, I advise patients with various complaints about mental health - depressed mood, nervousness, lack of energy and interest, sleep disorders, panic attacks, obsessive thoughts and anxieties, difficulty concentrating, and stress. In my free time, I love to paint and go on long walks on the beach. One of my latest obsessions is sudoku – a wonderful activity to calm an unease mind.
