The Vadge Badge – Arts And Crafts Gets Sexy

Have you been holding out for the perfect piece of eye catching art to wear on your frock? Then Vadge Badge can help you out. Now you can have the felty contours of your vulva (or a friend’s) sculpted into a fashion statement for wearing on your lapel.

That’s right. The Vadge Badge is going to cause a fashion accessory storm. Forget about wearing your heart on your sleeve: we want to see what you’re packing on your coat!

Each hand made vulva is 8cm long and 5cm wide, and is custom made from coordinating pieces of felt and a little button or bead nubbin. Layers upon layers of scrap felt is blanket stitched in place to create a cascading floral piece that is distinctly vulva esque. A felt hood conceals a plastic button, and the folds of your vulva badge are stitched in place according to how flappy you want it (yes, that’s the technical term!).

You can choose from three standards: Shocking Pink, Hot Chocolate or Vulva from Mars (a blue and green concoction reminiscent of Ms Hulk, or perhaps for those Avatar fans out there?) or you can mix and match from a palette of felt and floral fabrics. You can custom choose your button too.

Want something special? No problem. The artist, Gemma Flack, is an Australian illustrator with a penchant for big, beautiful women. She encourages you to order a Vadge Badge ‘modelled on yourself or whomever’s vulva you are currently admiring,’ and of course, you can ‘have it as neat or as flappy as you like.’ You can also add in pubic hair by special request, if you like that kind of thing.

The Vadge Badge will set you back £11.25 and is custom made to order by Gemma Flack herself.
