Tips for Specific Types of Equipment – Tips To keep In Mind When Shopping For BDSM Gear – Part 2

When you’re out looking for equipment, it’s very easy to get the wrong thing simply because you didn’t know what to look for in it. For the most part, it’s fairly easy to figure out what you should be looking for in BDSM equipment, however, there are exceptions. These tips should help keep confusion to a minimum.

When you’re buying bondage equipment, there are a few important things to keep in mind. If you’re buying bondage “furniture”, such as a St. Anthony’s cross or bondage bench, make sure that it’s made of a solid material. Due to their general size and thickness, cheaper materials aren’t really that big of a problem. However, if it’s made of a heavy wood or metal, it’ll last you quite a while longer. Another thing you need to keep an eye out for is the restraints themselves. Quick release restraints are something you should always make sure to look for. They don’t make the restraints any less secure, but, they will allow you to easily free your partner in case of an emergency. If they have a keyed release, you should also make sure that they come with extra keys. Otherwise, a quick trip down to your local hardware store will help you get a few extra copies.

If you’re shopping for fetish clothing, around the bed restraints, or anything that has to fit over something else, make sure to take proper measurements. Fetish clothing is usually designed to be rather tight, which can lead to it not fitting if you get one that’s just a size too small. Around the bed restraints and most other items that are supposed to fit over furniture and the like are usually “one size fits most”, but that doesn’t mean you should assume it will fit what you have in mind for it. They’ll usually have a minimum and maximum size listed for whatever they’re designed to fit around so comparing it to what you have is pretty easy. Given the hassle that usually accompanies returns, this is an important tip to remember.

Ball gags are the perfect example of a smaller item that is easy to get the wrong type of. You need to be rather careful when choosing a ball gag for your partner, depending on what type you get. If you get the type that’s almost comically large, you can be fairly sure it’ll work just fine. This type of ball gag is supposed to sit outside of the teeth, muffling more than silencing speech, and thus it’s fine to go a bit overboard. If you’re purchasing the type of ball gag that is supposed to sit inside the teeth, however, you need to be a bit more careful. You should make sure to get one that’s large enough to sit securely between the teeth without being so big it’s going to hurt your partner’s jaw. This may seem unimportant, but it can lead to problems down the road.

There are, of course, several other miscellaneous items that require specific instructions. These are too numerous to count, really, and most of them are actually common knowledge. If you’re unsure about what you should look for in any particular piece of equipment, however, a quick internet search will normally give you good advice. On the off chance this doesn’t yield you any results, there are several BDSM social sites you can visit to ask for more information.

Nutrition plays an important role in human life. Eating habits are one of the factors that affect our health. There is often a misconception among people that nutritionists force a very restrictive diet, but that is not true. In fact, I don't ban any products, but I point out dietary mistakes and help change them by giving tips and new recipes that I've tried myself. I advise my patients not to resist change and to be purposeful. Only with willpower and determination can a good result be achieved in any area of life, including changing eating habits. When I don't work, I love to go climbing. On a Friday evening, you are most likely to find me on my couch, cuddling with my dog and watching some Netflix.
