UNUSUAL HIGH CHOLESTEROL SYMPTOMS

Liver disease

Researchers have linked some cases of high cholesterol with liver disease. High cholesterol levels cause excessive fat deposition in the liver, diminishing its function. Patients may also have non-alcoholic steatohepatitis because elevated cholesterol amounts in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease can increase progression of the condition.

Cushing’ syndrome

Cushing’s syndrome possibly comes due to high cortisol hormone in the body.  Research links high cortisol amounts to excessive cholesterol in the body. If you have high cortisol levels, your body increases activities of major enzymes that regulate blood pressure. It also implies that Cushing’s syndrome affects blood pressure.

I am deeply convinced that each patient needs a unique, individual approach. Therefore, I use different psychotherapy methods in my work. During my studies, I discovered an in-depth interest in people as a whole and the belief in the inseparability of mind and body, and the importance of emotional health in physical health. In my spare time, I enjoy reading (a big fan of thrillers) and going on hikes.
