Violet Devine discusses the Australian porn industry

This blonde babe has no trouble showing you who’s boss. With bleached blonde hair and violet tips, Violet Devine is relatively new to the porn industry having been in the biz for just six months.

“When I tell people what I do, they’re like, ‘What? There’s porn in Australia?’. I’m like, ‘There’s actually a lot of porn in Australia to be honest.’” – Violet Devine.

Violet landed her very first professional shoot after camming at SEXPO when a representative from Lightsouthern slipped her a business card. Talking about her experience Violet said she is more into ex-art than generic porn films, “I’m more into ex-art, which is obviously lhttps://lightsouthern.com/about/ike at, music, fashion, then fucking”.

After venturing over into the US, Voilet explained how the US porn scene differed vastly from the Australian industry. Instead of the typical “My name’s Buck and I’m here to fuck”, American porn stars she had encountered in the US, Australian porn stars were much more respectful and concerned with each performer’s comfort levels.

Why should Aussie porn users shop local compared to looking at the others?

It’s kind of like why you should shop at local fruit and veg shops. You should always support your local businesses and performers. It’s just about keeping it local, and supporting local and small businesses, companies, and performers.

How’s that played its own role in building your own fan base?

A lot. With stripping and escorting as well, it is so vital to have a Twitter account. It’s not even funny how vital it connects you to colleagues, other performers, other escorts. Also, punters and stuff like that, and fans. It makes you more personal I feel than just a face on a screen.

Are you interested in doing VR porn videos?

Oh definitely. I keep hassling Michelle (Lightsouthern) for it, but she’s not doing any Lightsouthern stuff at the moment. Once she starts shooting again, I’ll probably be like, “Hello, it’s me again. How are you?” But me and Michelle are great together. She’s actually just nominated me for yanks girl of the month. I’ve got just into to a bunch of girls. We have a very good relationship, Michelle and I, so hopefully it’s on the cards one day.

Do you own any sex toys yourself?

I own many, many, many sex toys. My favourite ones to use on myself are vibrators. My favourite to use on partners, male or female, is my strap-on. I love pegging. There’s nothing better than being the one dominating a man to the point of penetration – I think that’s amazing.

So, you’ve got a variety of them, or have you got the favourite one?

You name the dildo like the dog – a fresh dildo after the first person you fuck with it. Yeah, a few. I have Lenny and bone everything. It’s honestly clients that happen to be the first one’s they’ve been used on. I’m like, “What’s your name again? Yep cool. That’s what this dildo is called.” I think they feel a little bit honoured when I say that. “Oh really? Oh. My butthole was violated for a good reason then.”

Have you experienced or looked at any VR toys?

Yeah, well I’m still such a little baby that I really don’t know any of this. But that sounds amazing. I would love to do that one day. A worldwide porn thing, that would be great. An interactive porn thing, that would be amazing.

During my studies, I discovered an in-depth interest in people as a whole and the belief in the inseparability of mind and body, and the importance of emotional health in physical health. In my spare time, I enjoy reading (a big fan of thrillers) and going on hikes.
