What is a hopeless romantic?
It refers to someone in a love relation and has romantic notions about life. They can also be termed as daydreamers, sentimental, or idealists. Their gestures include sending flowers, offering gifts even without an occasion, or writing romantic poems.
The difference between a hopeless and hopeful romantic
Approach to first date
A hopeless romantic will have excessive pressure on the first date to appear perfect. Such may end up in the loss of chemistry afterward. But the opposite approaches the date with optimism and sees it as an opportunity for adventure to get love.
Linking your relationship to others’
A hopeless romantic keeps comparing their relationship to those on social media or TV and gets frustrated for realizing theirs does not match- others are doing better. It results in lack of appreciation to their partner’s good qualities, making them upset about the relationship. A hopeful romantic tries to avoid thoughts about how other relationships are doing.
