  • 1/3 a cup of warm water, about 50 degrees Celsius
  • 2 packs of 1/4 ounce packaged instant yeast, amounting to 4 ½ teaspoons
  • 1 ½ cups of cup milk, low-fat or whole options
  • 1 teaspoon of table salt
  • ½ a cup of granulated sugar for texture
  • 1/3 a cup or 75 grams of butter or shortening, preferably the softer versions
  • 2 large eggs
  • 5 ml of CBD oil or tincture
  • Canola oil for frying the doughnuts
  • 5 cups all-purpose flour for gluten ]

Doughnut Glaze

You need the following to add glaze to your doughnuts

  • 2 cups of powdered sugar
  • ½ a  cup of melted butter
  • 5-7 tablespoons of evaporated milk
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract for flavor

Procedure/ Instructions

  1. Add lukewarm water and instant yeast to a standing mixer. Allow the mixture to stand still for about 5 minutes until all the yeast dissolves
  2. Heat the evaporated milk in one of the bowls for 2 minutes. Remove the heat and let the milk cool for 5 minutes.
  3. Put milk, salt, sugar, drops of CBD oil or tincture, eggs, shortening or butter, and 2 cups of flour in the bowl of yeast in step 1.
  4. Whip the mixture for 2 minutes at medium speed and add the other 3 cups of flour. Keep mixing the dough while scraping down and sides to ensure all flour mix.
  5. Put the dough in a large greased bowl and cover it loosely with a clean piece of clothing. Allow it 1- 2 hours to elapse so it can rise in a warm, draft-free place. If necessary, allow more time for the dough to double.
  6. After the rising is complete, roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thickness. Cut it into doughnuts with a donut or cookie cutter of about 1, 3, or 4-inch sizes and allow them to stand for about 10 minutes.
  7. Pour vegetable oil into a large saucepan at least 3 inches (or 5 centimeters) high and put on heat to 375 degrees
  8. Carefully drop doughnuts into hot oil, one at a time. Fry them, turning once, for 3 minutes until golden brown. Drain the on the prepared paper towels.

Doughnut Glaze

After frying the doughnuts, add glaze to them as follows;

  1. Melt the butter, preferably CBD butter
  2. Mix it with powdered sugar and vanilla extract
  3. Add evaporated milk or sub-water to attain the desired consistency
  4. Dip doughnuts in glaze, remove them, and let them drip on the rack.
  5. After they have cooled, enjoy them
