DETERGENTS FOR SENSITIVE SKIN

Tips on what to look for in a laundry detergent for sensitive skin, as well as a few specific product recommendations

As a dermatologist here is what you should look for in laundry detergents to avoid allergic reactions;

Hypoallergenic detergents

Hypoallergenic Laundry products are washing detergents that have no added chemicals, dyes and fragrances or perfumes that can trigger skin irritations and other allergic reactions. Avoid any detergent containing perfumes or artificial dyes.

Liquid detergents

They are less stable and powerful than powder detergents hence have weaker effects which can help lower the irritating effects and are more soluble than powder.

I recommend you use;

sensitive home free and clear laundry detergent as it does not contain any dyes or fragmented scents which are among the common causatives of allergic reactions.
