Our story.

Vadim Lobarev is the Founder of IT recruiting agency MindHunt

Here is what he says.

“I started in IT recruiting back in 2005 and my first search was Senior C# Developer and requirements were 2+ years of experience with C# or 5+ years of experience with C++. I worked only 1 month in recruiting and knew close to nothing about recruiting.

My first step was to buy and read the book “Visual C++ for dummies”. Why? Because I wanted to better understand the nature of the job I needed to fill and the people who do this job in order to speak with them in the same language as much as I can.

Definitely, it hasn’t made a software programmer from me… but it allowed me to better understand what software programmers do. Anyway… I struggled with filling vacancies because it was hard to find suitable candidates, sell them vacancies and qualify them. So I had to learn different recruiting strategies and technics from the best recruiters in the world. I read books and took trainings… and then tested what I learned in the real world to see what happen.

My recruiting results were improving and finally, I discovered the ultimate recruiting system which worked pretty well and always delivered great results when I used it.

Then I founded the IT recruitment agency MindHunt and started hiring recruiters for the team. I taught them this system so they were able to recruit excellent candidates as well. Using this system, we are able to fill different IT vacancies for our clients from the USA, Europe, Australia, and Ukraine from entry-level to top-level positions, including Software Engineers, QA Engineers, UI/UX Designers, Technical Writers, System and Network Administrators, Software Architects, Business and System Analysts, Team Leaders, Project Managers, Development Managers, Directors, CTO and other.”

The challenges the IT recruiting business/market is facing.

The IT recruiting business/market is facing a lot of challenges. One of them is the fact that hiring for technology jobs is now a very competitive market. With the number of companies and businesses that are in need of IT professionals, there are more jobs than there are qualified candidates. This makes it difficult for companies to find good talent.

Also, it is the changing nature of the tech industry itself. It’s no longer a case of recruiting for a few well-defined roles, it’s more about finding people who can adapt to changing circumstances and work across different teams.

Another challenge is that companies are facing a shortage of experienced professionals who can help them with their projects. This means that they have to train new employees from scratch, which can be time-consuming and expensive.

There’s a shortage of IT professionals in the market, especially in certain areas such as DevOps engineers and data scientists. This shortage has been caused by several factors including an increase in demand, an increase in automation, and an increase in outsourcing and offshoring.

Another big challenge is that there are many different types of roles that need to be filled. There are entry-level positions, mid-level positions, and senior-level positions. Each one has its own set of requirements, and each company needs someone who can fill those requirements. The more specialized the role, the harder it is to find the right person for it.

There’s also a lot of competition among IT recruiters, which makes it difficult for them to stand out from other companies offering similar services. They have to differentiate themselves from other recruiters by offering something unique or providing better service than their competitors do.

For example, IT recruiting agency MindHunt uses its own unique methodology to fill vacancies.

About recruiting system MindHunt

In order to fill your vacancies with the best candidates available on the market, we use the following process:

Step 1. DEFINE YOUR TARGET CANDIDATE

Based on several questions we’ll discover your real recruiting needs. As a result, after this short session, we both have a clear vision of the open position, requirements, responsibilities, compensation package, and other job-related details

Step 2. SEARCH MAP

At this stage, we map out industries and companies where we are going to look for ideal candidates for you. This helps you to have the right candidates in your office as soon as possible

Step 3. TARGET CANDIDATE MAGNET

Based on the information you provide we at IT recruitment agency MindHunt create a document which does two jobs: describe your open position and sell it to potential candidates. It is like a job description on steroids

Step 4. ADVANCED TALENT IDENTIFICATION MACHINE

At this stage, we have all the information we need to start deep market research, name identification, approaching the best candidates available on the market, and presenting your career opportunity in a most attractive manner

Step 5. COMPREHENSIVE INTERVIEW SYSTEM

With your recruiting needs in mind, we use our proven system for qualifying potential candidates, including preliminary screenings and personal interviews in order to discover the skills, motivation, and commitment of candidates. As a result, you RECEIVE the best talents available on the market and do not waste your time on unqualified candidates

Step 6. ACCEPTED JOB OFFER GENERATOR

After you and the candidate show mutual interest and are ready for the next step we help you generate a job offer that will satisfy both your budget and the candidate’s salary expectations

Step 7. COUNTEROFFER PREVENTION SYSTEM

Now you may think that when the job offer is accepted then the deal is closed… Not really. Because the current employer will DO attempts to retain the person. But here we use our special ‘counteroffer prevention system’ and advice your candidate on how to build a conversation with the current manager about resignation and how to react if they try to retain him/her.

The opportunities the IT recruiting business is facing.

The IT recruiting business/market is facing a number of opportunities. The first opportunity is that there are many more jobs available than people to fill them. That means that you can find the talent you need and get them on board quickly.

The second opportunity is that a lot of companies are looking for IT professionals, but they don’t know where to look. You can help them fill their jobs by finding the right candidates for them.

The third opportunity is that there are many areas where there are not enough qualified professionals. This means that if you have an area of expertise, you can make a good living helping companies in those areas find the people they need for those jobs.

The fourth opportunity is that it’s easier than ever before to get started as an IT recruiter because there are so many tools available on the Internet that make it easy for anyone — even someone with no experience — to start up their own business.

Advice to others about IT recruiting business

Just a few thoughts on what I’ve learned from my experiences in IT recruiting, and some advice for others who are considering starting their own businesses:

1) Be prepared to work hard. It may seem like a glamorous job where you get to meet awesome people, but it’s not all fun and games by any means. In addition to the time spent finding candidates for clients and keeping up with new developments in the field, you’ll be spending countless hours on marketing, advertising, administration, and other tasks that don’t involve consulting directly with candidates or clients. If you’re someone who likes structure and organization, you might find this part of the job more appealing than others. If not, then perhaps this isn’t the right line of work for you.

2) Know your niche market inside and out. Your business will fail if you don’t know what it takes to recruit people for certain types of positions within specific industries — especially if your clients are hiring for those kinds of jobs. It’s important to have a deep understanding of the skills required for different roles (both technical and non-technical), as well as the types of companies that hire those skill sets (large vs small). This knowledge will come through experience over time, but it’s also important

3) Keep track of all your expenses, from office supplies and software to travel expenses. This is not only a good idea for tax purposes but also makes it easier to keep track of how much money is coming into and going out of your business each month.
