AGEING

AGEING

Skin and wrinkles

  • Gently skin cleansing, such as avoiding scrubbing that irritates the skin, speeding aging.
  • Avoid dehydrating your skin by alcohol drinking, which makes it rough.
  • Avoid smoking because it causes wrinkles and gives a swollen and dull complexion.
  • Eat fruits and vegetables to reduce the aging process because a poor diet, including sugar and refined carbs fastens the rate.

Brain

  • Get quality sleep to prevent memory issues caused by sleep deprivation.
  • Exercise regularly because research suggests that working out reduces aging by 10 years.
  • Head protection from injuries that risk cognitive impairment.

Joints – knees, hips etc

  • Ensure to have a healthy weight to avoid overtaxing your joints with stress.
  • If you work out, especially at the gym, it is best to warm up before, and cool down after.
  • Hydrate more with water to prevent the joints’ connective tissues from drawing water from the cartilage that will trouble the joints, thus increasing the aging process.

Back

  • Regular physical activity for a healthy weight that does not strain the back.

Pelvic floor

  • Regularly do Kegel exercises to strengthen the pelvic muscles and prevent urinary incontinence.

Eyes

  • Avoid rubbing the eyes when they itch because doing this can damage their less supple skin in the area below them, causing premature sagging.
  • Clear all makeup before bedtime to avoid accumulation in the pores that will bring a dull appearance.
  • Cover your eyes for protection against the sun’s rays by using sunscreen or glasses.

Ears

  • Lower exposure to noise.

Wear ear plugs if in a noisy place.

I believe that nutrition science is a wonderful helper both for the preventive improvement of health and adjunctive therapy in treatment. My goal is to help people improve their health and well-being without torturing themselves with unnecessary dietary restrictions. I am a supporter of a healthy lifestyle – I play sports, cycle, and swim in the lake all year round. With my work, I have been featured in Vice, Country Living, Harrods magazine, Daily Telegraph, Grazia, Women's Health, and other media outlets.
