Nutritionist 101: Everything You Need to Know About TeamNutrition

Did you know two out of three people are trying to get control over their weight?

In today’s society, everyone is focused on dieting, but many people fail to meet their goals. This is because everyone’s needs are different and without a personalized diet it can be hard to manage your health.

Many diet plans don’t focus on a person’s overall health; they only focus on outward appearances. Which in the long run can be damaging.

TeamNutrition is a company that strives to help others with their nutrition and health goals. If you’re interested in learning more about the company and how a registered dietitian can help you, you’ve come to the right place. Keep reading to find out everything you need to know about TeamNutrition and its team of nutritionists and Registered Dietitian.

TeamNutrition Business Story

First, you need to know who we are. Our founder, Guillaume Couture, had a goal to improve nutrition services. In order to do this, he realized that he and his team needed to invest heavily in training and patient teaching material. He strives to increase his knowledge  and the knowledge of his team to ensure every dietitian is highly trained for all types of client health objectives. Nutrition counselling with TeamNutrition now changes the way people see and think about food, which is a powerful thing.

Guillaume Couture graduated from McGill University with a degree in dietetics and human nutrition. His knowledge goes far beyond basic nutrition.  Guillaume Couture is an expert when it comes to sports nutrition, weight loss, intuitive eating practices and medical conditions including digestive issues and metabolic syndrome.

After going above and beyond for his clients, Mr. Couture quickly became known as one of the best in the field of nutrition. With ten years of experience as a consultant, Mr. Couture is more than qualified to run the staff at TeamNutrition.

It can be scary to start a new diet, but with a qualified registered dietitian, the process will seem less overwhelming.

You’ll start to learn how to live a healthy lifestyle. This includes eating food you love without compromising your health. The team is here to help you, it’ll be easier to achieve your goals if you have a community surrounding you. We’ve found that it is usually best to trust a team of registered dietitians rather than a solo dietitian; the dietitian in a team has access to more resources, gets feedback from other experienced dietitians, and can ask for support and solutions in the case of rare nutrition issues.

Business Challenges

Every business has its challenges and TeamNutrition is no different. We do our best to acknowledge our weaknesses and make them our strengths.

Competition and Staff

As you probably know, there are many companies and brands that provide meal plans and claim to be knowledgeable about all things health and nutrition.

Unfortunately, there are people who are looking to make a quick dollar and they’ll do whatever they have to. It can be hard to compete with businesses that put out false information. For example, giving a meal plan for weight loss is easy. Building a lifestyle that you will want to maintain for the next decades is the real challenge. We focus on both at the same time for long-term results.

These companies that only offer the quick results and take advantage of people have a business model that brings recurring business, as people gain the weight back again, rinse and repeat. The incentive is usually not long-term success for weight loss business because they break their recurring business model. You may see people online who claim to be registered dietitians but don’t have the credentials to back it up. Here at TeamNutrition, all our team members have profiles where clients can read about their qualifications and all of our team aims for your long-term success. We love you, so our goal is to ensure we never have to see you again.

We want to help as many people as we can, and that means offering services in different languages. It can be hard to find potential employees that are fluently bilingual, which also hinders our growth.

We only want to hire the best and it can be challenging to find the right employees. We take pride in our team, it takes time to find, hire, and train qualified professionals that strive for excellence. This slows down our growth at times.

Insurance

Another challenge that we face is the client’s health insurance. Many people want to invest in our services, but can’t financially. There are some third party insurance companies that don’t cover our services which means we can’t help as many people as we’d like to. We ask clients to discuss the possibility of adding nutrition counselling with registered dietitians with their employers.

SEO

We advertise a lot online, and some of our programs have remote options too. However, positioning ourselves high in search engines in both English and French has been a challenge.

We want to reach as many people as possible but feel people are missing our content. We are working to increase our SEO (search engine optimization) so more people will find our company and services across Canada.

Business Opportunities

Although we do face challenges, we have a lot of opportunities that have become available in recent years. We do offer bilingual services. This is great for growth as there is a broader audience we can reach.

If a client can’t come into the office, you do provide online services. Our online counselor is able to help people with their diet and lifestyle and our clients don’t have to leave the comfort of their homes.

Providing health advice and encouraging others to learn about their bodies is what we love doing. Our wide variety of services has increased our business as well.

Business Advice

If you’re looking to grow your business, there are a few important things to remember. Always keep the client in mind.

You must identify a pain point and then provide a better solution. By offering excellent customer service and results, you’ll continue to grow your business and your client list. It’s not just about your business, it’s about building a culture that allows you to offer a better solution than other options.

If your industry has a gap or is neglecting a specific niche, take advantage of that. You can expand your services and grow your brand by tapping into an area that hasn’t been served yet.

Keep in mind that all your clients are different and may need different things. People will appreciate being listened to and you can never go wrong with personalized services.

Women’s Health

If you’re struggling to create a prenatal health plan, TeamNutrition can help. A professional can help you create a diet that has all the nutrients you and your baby need. It’s possible to have other health concerns arise during pregnancy and a registered dietitian can help you address any concerns you may have as they appear.

If you’re experiencing perimenopause or menopause, you can also talk to one of our team members. Food can help you combat some of the side effects you’re experiencing.

They can give you advice on your body and explain to you what exactly is changing and why. Your diet can greatly affect your health. In order to fight osteoporosis, joint pain, high blood pressure, and other health concerns, you should consider talking to one of our nutritionists.

Eating Disorders

Eating disorders affect many people and it can be hard to overcome them without help. Our team is experienced and qualified to help you no matter what your relationship with food looks like. Besides learning how to control your eating, our team will help you boost your self-esteem; they will also teach you how to enjoy eating again.
