PACHAMAMA REVIEW 2022

PACHAMAMA REVIEW 2022

/

‘Nothing about CBD is average; it takes everything to a new height in the CBD arena,’ that’s a heartfelt comment made by Forbes in 2020 about Pachamama, one of the renowned CBD brands in the USA. There are 248 CBD companies, yet Pachamama is the first of the only four brands with the Clean Label Purity Award. Owned by two brothers committed to helping people find healthy alternatives and balanced but creative solutions to their health challenges, Pachamama completes well with other CBD brands. We had the privilege to review this company and were impressed by its sustainable, organic, USDA-certified practices. Besides producing some of the highest-quality CBD products, the brand also boasts a year of educating its consumers about CBD, as seen in its official website that regularly posts health blogs. Read our full review below if you want to know all about Pachamama.

About the Company

Pachamama is a Colorado-based CBD company that boasts its own single-strain hemp for high-quality CBD products. Design, purity, and quality- the company possesses it all. It was launched courtesy of the collective efforts of two brothers, Brandon and Ryan Stump. Brando had been struggling with drug addiction for many years, and in an attempt to achieve a sober life, he moved to Ohio, thinking that the problem was his environment. To his utter shock, the struggle continued, making him realize that the issue was himself and not the environment. He then set ahead to achieve the sober life he had wanted amid many struggles and finally made it through.

When his efforts proved fruitful, he felt inclined to give back to the community by helping other individuals who were struggling to attain a sober life. At first, he was housing them at his place, and as the number grew, he thought about opening a wellness center. He contacted his brother, Ryan Stump, then in the medical field, and together, they birthed Buckeye Recovery Network, which would later be associated with Pachamama. Later, after the network picked up, Brandon tore his ankle ligaments and had to seek medical attention.

He used various medications and even experimented with physical therapy, but all the efforts proved futile. However, he experienced a phenomenal improvement when he used CBD on the target areas. That’s when he realized that there was the power of recovery, restoration, and regeneration in CBD and started culminating interest in the cannabinoid. Once again, he reached out to Ryan, and together, they co-founded Pachamama. Currently, the brand boasts many things, including rigorous third-party tests, USDA-certified extraction method, and winning several awards, including best tincture, Clean Label Purity, and Colorado Department of Health’s awards.

Manufacturing Process

Pachamama’s manufacturing process starts with breeding and growing non-GMO CBD oil-rich hemp, which the brand does in its own Colorado farms. The farms are USDA-certified organic, practice sustainable agriculture, and produce non-GMO hemp. The manufacturing facilities are located onsite, and the extract professionals apply a USDA-certified air extraction technique that does not utilize CO2, solvents, or hydrocarbons to strip off CBD from the hemp fibers. Rather, it uses hot air and pressure to distill off terpenes, healthy fatty acids, and cannabinoids from the hemp surface. The resulting extract is smooth, has a natural, earthy flavor, and has no traces of chemicals.

After extraction and formulation, the next step is third-party testing. It is noteworthy that this is the last stage of the three-step third-party testing that starts when the hemp is still on the farm, before extraction, and finally before packaging. At this point, the extracts are tested for THC and CBD potencies to establish whether the stated contents as by the label match the actual contents. Besides, third-party tests also ensure that the extracts are contaminant-free, by testing them for standard contaminants, including solvents, heavy metals, pesticides, and residues. Pachamama tests all its products for the stated contaminants and potencies but does not test for animal residues. Nonetheless, it assures its clients that its products are residue-free, and its third-party tests are thorough, as confirmed by the Clean Label Purity award, which only four CBD brands have at the moment. The awards are only given to brands that maintain high purity standards, and Pachamama was the first to receive it, followed by the other three.

Customer & Buying Experiences

We loved our experience with the Pachamama website. The page was detailed with sufficient and updated product information, and every section elaborately explained its topic.Although one can reach the brand’s customer care department by visiting Pachamama’s physical location, calling its customer care desk using the provided phone number, sending an email through any of the listed email addresses, or sending a message through the chat feature, the latter disappointed us. Every time we would leave a message, we would be told that there were no representatives online, delaying response time. All the same, we were answered at long last.

The shopping experience was equally intuitive. Things are made easier by the fact that the website groups products according to category (topicals, gummies, tinctures, etc.) or purpose (general wellness, focus, muscle and joint support, and sleep). Shopping was as simple as identifying a product, adding it to the cart, and checking out when done. Next, you sign in as a guest or with your account to key in credit card details, billing information, and the delivery location.

Range of Products

Pachamama product line is somewhat narrow and includes the following products;

1. Pachamama CBD Tinctures

Pachamama CBD Tinctures

One of the main items in Pachamama inventory includes the CBD tinctures that come in two potencies, 25 mg/ml and 58.33 mg/ml. They are available in four flavors, including Goji Cacao, Ylang Ylang, Kava Kava, and Green Tea, all of which are packed in 750 mg or 1750 mg total CBD concentration. Their prices range from $67.49 to $139.99, revealing an average price point of $0.07 to $0.10 per mg CBD. Additionally, there are black peppermint and natural flavors in the 750 mg and 1750 mg CBD concentrations. All the tinctures are made from air extracted CBD.

2. Pachamama Topicals

Pachamama Topicals

The brand also deals in topical products that feature adaptogenic blends and targeted hemp, all meant to optimize their muscle and joint-relieving strength. They include a 2 oz athletic rub whose total CBD content is 500 mg, a THC-free body lotion, icy muscle gel, and pain cream. Like the athletic rub, all the rest of the topical products have 500 mg CBD and a 2 oz capacity. The cost varies between $7.60 and $52.99, depending on the product in question. According to the website, the suggested consumption method is topical application, where the products have to be applied generously on the targeted point for optimal absorption and repeated as needed.

3. Pachamama CBD Gummies

Pachamama CBD Gummies

The edible product line of Pachamama features naturally-flavored gummies. Besides CBD, they also have CBN, but there is no detectable THC. They are packed with melatonin and elderberry, making them ideal for sleep. They are available in packs of 30 counts and are strictly for oral application. For best results, the website suggests taking them at night before sleep. They could also help support immune function.

4. Pachamama CBD Gel Caps

Pachamama CBD Gel Caps

These are vegan and vegetarian-friendly capsules that feature 25 mg CBD per unit. They are made from organ, USDA-certified, air-extracted CBD, and are packed in tapioca shells. Besides, they come in a 2-pack sachet or a 30-count jar, costing $1.60 and $19.99, respectively.

5. Pachamama Pet Product

Pachamama Pet Product

Pachamama offers a pet item that features two all-natural ingredients; pure hemp and MCT oil which forms the product’s base. These tinctures are said to be effective for helping a pet cope with separation anxiety, relax while you are away, or re-energize after a strenuous hike. Besides, they could help swollen joints heal from exercise-related inflammation and are given based on the pet’s size and weight.

What We Like About the Company

During our review, we liked many things about Pachamama, including the following;

  • The brand conducts rigorous three-stage third-party testing, including when the hemp is still on the farm, before CBD extraction, and before final packaging, ensuring that end products are pure and contaminant-free
  • Products are generally within the market range, as verified by the $0.07 to $0.10 average price point per mg CBD
  • Subscribing to the brand guarantees one giveaway and offers
  • The wide price range of $3.99 to $139.99 caters to all consumers, including those whose financial situation is suboptimal
  • There are multiple ways of reaching the customer care desk, including using three different emails depending on the message, address to the company’s physical location, a chat feature, and a phone number
  • Military veterans and first-time buyers are offered reasonable discounts
  • Third-party test results are readily available for easy access online
  • With batch numbers, one eases the quest for third-party lab reports on the website

What We Do Not Like About the Company

There is always room for improvement, and Pachamama has some areas to work on. For instance,

  • Its customer care desk is not always active because we tried sending messages through the chat feature, but we were consistently told that there were no representatives online
  • The Certificates of Analysis (CoA) do not contain information on contaminant purity
  • Delivery destinations do not include all the US states and exclude Idaho, Iowa, North Dakota, and Nebraska

Our Overall Verdict

Generally, our review of the Pachamama brand was positive. The company offers a 30-day money-back guarantee, uses organic, USDA-certified single-strain hemp to produce CBD products, conducts rigorous potency and contaminant third-party tests, and posts the results online. It also supports the military veteran community, offering 20% off total sales. Subscribing to its website and shopping with them for the first time and continuously also warrants discounts. However, some of its Certificate of Analysis (CoA) on the website lack information on contaminant testing, and the chat feature had no representative checking on it. We kept sending messages but got no response. All the same, Pachamama remains to be one of the best companies, and slightly ironing its kinks will help it see new heights in the CBD domain.
