Post-Wedding Depression

Post-Wedding Depression

Post-wedding depression refers to when the bride or groom feels down after the wedding. This phenomenon comes with an array of feelings, including sadness, boredom, lack of interest, loneliness, and boredom. Although post-wedding depression is a normal phenomenon, it is more likely to take a toll on the affected partner’s psychological wellbeing.

What Causes this Phenomenon?

We all know the attention newly-weds-to be get. After the wedding, this attention is more likely to drop, triggering depression. Most people are in a fairy tale state of mind before the wedding. This is the time bills don’t cross the mind. The reality then hits after the wedding, triggering temporary bad feelings in married life. What’s more, we all have certain expectations about the people we are about to marry. When these expectations are unmet in married life, we are more likely experience the temporary comedown period.

How To Deal with The Post-Wedding Depression

In my mental health experience, the best way of coping with this phenomenon is to focus on the marriage’s future-kids and house. Also, I advise newlyweds to settle into their married life before exploiting a bigger project together. This prevents misunderstandings in case the project backfires.

The work of a family doctor includes a wide range of clinical diversity, which requires extensive knowledge and erudition from a specialist. However, I believe that the most important thing for a family doctor is to be human because the cooperation and understanding between the doctor and the patient are crucial in ensuring successful health care. On my days off, I love being in nature. Since childhood, I have been passionate about playing chess and tennis. Whenever I have time off, I enjoy traveling around the world.
