What’s The History Behind It?

Vedic astrology, traditionally known as Jyotish (heavenly or light body), has been in existence since 10 000 B.C it’s rooted in the Vedas. The modality was first discovered in Rigveda, containing ancient Indian texts. Astrology was first used to set dates from important occasions such as rituals but later evolved to personalize people’s karma and dharma based on their star or planet sign.

Where Is Vedic Astrology Practiced?

This modality of astrology is common in India and practiced on spiritual occasions.

What Are the Differences Between Vedic and Western Astrology?

•             Western astrology focuses on ones’ psychology, while Vedic astrology is individually oriented depending on one’s karma or dharma.

•             Vedic astrology is based on the sidereal system, which focuses on observable constellations changes, whereas western astrology is based on the tropical calendar.
