VEGETABLE AND BLOATING

VEGETABLE AND BLOATING

Is there a starchy vegetable that could make bloating worse?

As a nutritionist, some vegetables such as broccoli, kale, carrots, cauliflower, Brussel sprouts, prunes, and cabbage are high in starch and complex sugars, which can trigger bloating or stomach gas.

If Someone Suffers from Frequent Bloating, What Would You Recommend Avoiding Food/ Veggie Wise?

I highly recommend you avoid consuming cruciferous vegetables such as kales, cabbages, arugula, sprouts, and cauliflower as they enhance the build-up of stomach gases causing bloating.

Foods That May Seem ‘Healthy’ But Could Exacerbate Bloating?

For people who experience frequent bloating, I advise you to monitor or limit your intake of beans, wheat, lentils, barley, onions, apples, and rye; though they are healthy, they are common bloating triggers.

The work of a family doctor includes a wide range of clinical diversity, which requires extensive knowledge and erudition from a specialist. However, I believe that the most important thing for a family doctor is to be human because the cooperation and understanding between the doctor and the patient are crucial in ensuring successful health care. On my days off, I love being in nature. Since childhood, I have been passionate about playing chess and tennis. Whenever I have time off, I enjoy traveling around the world.
