3D Porn Movie Got Me Pregnant

This week the social networks have been buzzing with the story that a woman claims a trip to a 3D cinema made her pregnant. It details the escapades of one woman who presented her husband with a black baby following his year long absence serving in the armed forces.

The woman had apparently taken a trip with her girlfriends to a new 3D porn show in New York. Curious to see how bodies entwined with the addition of 3D specs she enjoyed the show until one month later she discovered she was pregnant by the leading man.

Her baby, she says, bears an uncanny resemblance to the male porn star that dominated the show and her stalwart insistence that this is indeed the biological father of the baby also served to convince her absent partner.

Erik Johnson is believed to have said, “I have no reason to doubt my wife, technology has come a long way with 3D films etc… I am sure she wouldn’t lie to me.”

The wife is reportedly relieved, as if he hadn’t fallen for her tale she could have quite easily found herself with a marriage in ruins.

Of course this story is ridiculous, but to delve a little deeper, it actually highlights more about our beliefs than those of the gullible husband. Not long after this received a billion shares and dominated 5% of status updates, the truth became clear that this was all a hoax.

A Brazilian news channel had broadcast the story, using language that basically translated as , “none of this is true”. They then set it free to see just how gullible the general public were. Of course we lapped it up, believing that Erik Johnson was being played for a fool whilst shaking our heads at the audacity of a woman who claimed to be impregnated by holographic sperm. Yet, surely the fact that this generated such a wide audience proves that we really will believe anything about our own human race.

There was undoubtedly a tinge of sympathy for the misguided fool named Erik as many of us have been in a situation where we’ve desperately wanted to believe. When someone we love lies to us, it doesn’t take much for us to believe their tales. Whether they lie to protect our feelings, such as, “your bum really doesn’t look big in that” or they lie to protect themselves, “she’s just a friend, honest!” we suck it all up as the alternative seems to alien to contemplate.

This news, no matter how far fetched, hit all of us in the same way. Of course we mocked and laughed and ridiculed Erik for sticking by his fictional wife, but still the element of truth and human behaviour had us believing the worst.

It does beg the question of how far trust can stretch when evident between two people, just how much you can get away with when your actions are seen as nothing more than completely and utterly faithful.

The work of a family doctor includes a wide range of clinical diversity, which requires extensive knowledge and erudition from a specialist. However, I believe that the most important thing for a family doctor is to be human because the cooperation and understanding between the doctor and the patient are crucial in ensuring successful health care. On my days off, I love being in nature. Since childhood, I have been passionate about playing chess and tennis. Whenever I have time off, I enjoy traveling around the world.
