BEST SHAMPOOS

BEST SHAMPOOS FOR A SWEATY SCALP?

What causes a sweaty scalp?

Sweating in the head or scalp may be caused by medications, excessive workouts, anxiety, or infections.

What are problems associated with a sweaty scalp?

It can cause itching, dandruff, or dirty hair. The scalp may also appear oily or shiny.

How often should someone who sweats every day be washing their hair?

I tell my clients, especially those exercising daily and sweat excessively to wash twice or thrice in a week.

What are your general recommendations for a shampoo for someone with s sweaty scalp?

I may not have a specific answer here because not all people need shampoo daily, and the less it is used the better. People with normal hair can wash often but avoid shampoo. Those with fine hair and sweat frequently can shampoo daily. But if your hair is thick, reduce on shampoo because such hair may have less oil.

Any ingredients or products to avoid?

Sulfates

Sulfates mainly dry the hair and scalp making it weak. It also makes the hair appear dull and easy to split or break.

Synthetic fragrances

I discourage products with synthetic fragrances because they cause itching, redness, or dermatitis. Therefore, if your scalp is sensitive, use fragrance-free shampoo.
