To really grab a persons attention on a dating app start by giving them a compliment. Try to steer clear of generic compliments such as you have really nice eyes and go a little more deep. When we give a compliment to a person it’s generally quite a selfish action for example when you say ‘I really love your dress’ that is more about you than it is about them. A better way to phrase that sentence would be ‘you have really good taste in clothes’. That puts the focus back on them.
