NON-SMOKING RELATED RISK FACTORS FOR LUNG CANCER

If you think lung cancer is mainly a risk for smokers, please do your research to get more information. The following are some of the causes other than smoking;

Passive smoking

Did you know that you can become a smoker indirectly through the secondhand version? Yes, it happens when you inhale the smoke from an actual person using a burning tobacco product. Research indicates that nearly 7,000 Americans die of lung cancer through passive smoking.

Cancerous agents

Prolonged exposure to cancer-causing compounds can cause lung cancer. For example, people working in areas with diesel exhaust, asbestos, and heavy metals are a higher risk.

Air pollution

Countries with poorly regulated air are likely to develop more cases of lung cancers compared to those with quality air conservation, such as, the U.S. Research estimates a whopping 62,000 deaths related to lung cancer every year.

My goal is to help people improve their health and well-being without torturing themselves with unnecessary dietary restrictions. I am a supporter of a healthy lifestyle – I play sports, cycle, and swim in the lake all year round. With my work, I have been featured in Vice, Country Living, Harrods magazine, Daily Telegraph, Grazia, Women's Health, and other media outlets.
